Why the Death Penalty Is Immoral and Un-American

What historical literature can tell us about the cruelty of the death penaltyEnlightenment thinker Cesare Boccaria wrote about the problems of state executions in “On Crime and Punishment” in 1764.It can take your money, steal your time, send you to war, but, my god, don’t let it kill you. Judge Barrett’s Catholic Faith Exposes Leftist Bigotry

by Administrator

Justice Antonin Scalia was one of the most brilliant, influential, and fascinating Supreme Court justices in recent history. A faithful Catholic, he was the father of nine children, one of whom is now serving as a priest in the Arlington diocese. Not only was Scalia Catholic, but he was willing to express and defend his faith in public with a p  LLC forthrightness that often took people off guard.

In one famous interview with New York Magazine, the conversation veered towards Scalia’s religious beliefs. At one point, as Scalia emphasized that he really did believe everything that the Church teaches, he leaned in conspiratorially, and whispered, “I even believe in the devil.”

Amnesty International calls for ‘universal right to abortion’

by Administrator

(Right to Life UK) Amnesty International has announced a new abortion policy which calls for countries around the world to introduce abortion-on-demand, for any reason, up to birth and allow sex-selective abortion.

The self-declared human rights organisation says that, in addition to campaigning for the full ‘decriminalisation’ of abortion around the world, they will call for “a universal access to safe abortions for all people who need them”.

“Every woman, girl or person who can become pregnant should have the right to abortion,” they add.

The term ‘decriminalise’ is a misnomer commonly used by abortion activists to describe the removal of almost all current safeguards around terminations, allowing abortion on-demand, for any reason, up to birth.

By Professor Theo Boer,
Former reviewer of euthanasia cases in the Netherlands.

As early as next week, Irish Members of Parliament could be casting a vote on the complicated and emotive issue of assisted suicide and euthanasia. After euthanasia was legalised in 2002, I supported the Dutch legislation and worked for the authorities reviewing euthanasia cases between 2005 and 2014.

Bishops say ‘Rosary for America’ Oct. 7 imperative for a country in crisis

Invoking Mary’s intercession for the U.S. together as Catholics is imperative for a country beset by multiple crises, said bishops participating a virtual “Rosary for America” Oct. 7, the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.

Abortion survivor and adoptee Claire Culwell: ‘There is a reason that I survived’

Abortion survivor Claire Culwell was recently interviewed by Live Action President and Founder Lila Rose about her story of abortion survival, adoption, and forgiveness. Culwell had grown up knowing she was adopted. In her early 20s, she met her birth mother and learned that her story was much more shocking than she could have ever realized.

Culwell told Rose that both she and her adopted sister had always known of their adoptions, and felt it was a “really positive thing.” Their parents were missionaries and they spent time living in places like Mexico and Costa Rica as children. It was a life they loved.

Court Stops Andrew Cuomo From Shutting Down Christian Adoption Agency

A federal court has stopped Governor Andrew Cuomo’s administration from shutting down a Catholic adoption agency that wants to stand up for its Christian beliefs.

New Hope Family Services, a faith-based adoption provider, has been waging a long battle against the Cuomo administration because New York officials are seeking to shut down the provider simply for its religious beliefs about marriage.

The New York State Office of Children and Family Services singled out the religious nonprofit for its policy prioritizing the placement of children it serves in homes with a married mother and father.

In November, at the request of Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys representing New Hope, the 2nd Circuit temporarily halted state officials from interrupting current adoption placements or mandating the closure of New Hope’s adoption program until the court had a chance to consider whether to reverse the federal district court’s decision.

Abortion and COVID-19: Two Pandemics By the Numbers

Patrick Hand adds more white palm crosses to the 2,000 that have been placed on the walls of the Church of the Ascension of the Lord in Balally, south Dublin, Ireland, on May 20, 2020. Each cross represents a victim of the COVID-19 pandemic. More than 2,000 crosses have been placed on the red brick walls in memory of those who have died in Ireland and Northern Ireland, which is equal to the approximate number of abortions in the U.S. each day.

Since 1973, there have been 61,628,584 abortions in America — a pandemic on an unprecedented scale …..

Democrats Desperately Exploit Coronavirus to Try to Block Amy Coney Barrett’s Nomination

Democrats are grabbing any excuse they can to delay the confirmation hearings for President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett. The president’s positive COVID diagnosis, for one. The number of senators getting the virus, for another. But there’s a solution to those safety concerns: virtual hearings. A number of committees have already, successfully conducted business via Zoom, so why can’t the Senate Judiciary do the same and question Barrett the same way?

The RNC picked out a handful of hypocritical senators on Monday who praised the use of “hybrid hearings” before it came to Barrett’s nomination. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), for instance, thanked Chairman Lindsey Graham for holding the virtual hearing for Judge Justin Walker’s nomination to the U.S.

Premature baby born at 22 weeks goes home after four months in hospital

by Administrator

According to Nola.com, a baby boy born prematurely at just 22 weeks and two days is heading home from the hospital after four months in the NICU. Russell William Appold, Jr. was born weighing about one pound after his mother Natasha went into premature labor. Doctors said he had just a 14% chance of surviving. He is the first baby to survive at Tulane Lakeside Hospital in Louisiana after being born at such a young age.

“We take care of a lot of small babies,” said Dr. Lisa Barbiero, a neonatologist at Tulane Lakeside Hospital. “The difference is we haven’t had a survivor at this early of a gestation.”

President Trump: “Every Child, Born and Unborn, is Made in the Holy Image of God”

by Administrator

Last Thursday’s 75th annual Al Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner, like its predecessors, raised millions for Catholic charities. Since 1960, beginning with John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon, it’s become a tradition for the presidential candidates to appear.

Unlike previous years, however, Timothy Cardinal Dolan hosted the annual charity fundraiser virtually from his residence. Both pro-life President Donald Trump and pro-abortion former vice president Joe Biden spoke on video.

According to the Associated Press, Mr. Biden said his time in politics has been “guided by the tenets of Catholic social doctrine.” He said, “What you do to the least among us, you do unto me,” adding “We have a responsibility to future generations, and that’s the charge before us today,” the AP reported.

Mom Saves Her Baby When She Changes Her Mind in the Middle of the Abortion

by Administrator

Francheska failed to accurately assess her situation. This led her to seek an abortion. Thankfully her experience did not end with the regret and pain of so many moms who have undergone a chemical abortion.

Born and raised in California, Francheska had her own apartment and the prospect of being offered a great job. She had always been pro-life, but the news of an unwanted pregnancy took the form of unanticipated pressure to consider abortion.

This was the 21-year-old’s first pregnancy. Her family was supportive, but the father of her child was the first obstacle to choosing life for her baby.

Charlotte Pence: “Abortion is a Violation of Providing Life to a Human Being”

by Administrator

Charlotte Pence Bond likes to joke that she isn’t very political.

She is the daughter of Vice President Mike Pence, and her name has been popping up in the pro-life movement as she follows her father’s legacy of defending the rights of the unborn.

Pence Bond has a busy life between finishing her graduate degree at Harvard Divinity School, settling into married life (she and her husband married in December), spending time with her parents on the campaign trail and working with pro-life organizations. She also just launched a new podcast, “Doubting It,” to explore questions of faith and doubt with Christian leaders.

Just defund Planned Parenthood already — here’s how

by Administrator

(National ReviewPresident Trump has made important strides in protecting children in the womb, from ending experimentation on aborted children at government laboratories and implementing new protections to stop these abuses for the first time ever, to appointing a record number of pro-life judges to the federal courts. President Trump’s administration has also begun the federal defunding of the abortion industry by enforcing Title X as originally written in 1970, to ensure no taxpayer grants go to programs such as Planned Parenthood’s, where abortion is a method of family planning.

In his September 3 letter to pro-life Americans, Trump committed to fully stop the flow of taxpayer subsidies to the abortion industry writing, “Together we will work to .

WARNING, Graphic Content: Three facts that debunk the myth of ‘safe abortion’

by Administrator

On September 28, abortion advocates marked what they call “International Safe Abortion Day.” But they were celebrating something that doesn’t exist and can never exist. Safe abortion is a myth.

Safe Abortion Day was first celebrated in Latin America and the Caribbean in the 1990s, but in 2011, the Women’s Global Network for Reproductive Rights declared September 28th as an international day of celebration. In Mexico, “celebrating” looks an awful lot like protesting and setting police officers on fire because abortion is not fully legal in the country. Abortion is an act of violence that fuels even more violence.

Abortion is a violent act of killing

Abortion can never be safe because for at least one of the human beings involved, abortion results in death.

Dallas late-term abortion business calls 911 for woman with excessive bleeding

by Administrator

An abortion facility in Dallas, Texas, owned by late-term abortionist Curtis Boyd sent a woman to the emergency room last month. Operation Rescue, which obtained the 911 Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) printout, reported that the 30-year-old woman was taken from Southwestern Women’s Surgery Center to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital to be evaluated. Her current status is unknown.

According to the CAD report, the woman was experiencing excessive bleeding, which prompted facility staffers to call 911. While she was awake and breathing, the CAD report said she was also experiencing “fever, cough, or shortness of breath.” While it is unclear how far along in her pregnancy she was, the only service Southwestern Women’s Surgery Center offers is abortion, so the most likely explanation is that she experienced some kind of complication.

Ohio Democrat Endorses Trump, Thanks Him for “Ensuring The Success Of The Black Community”

Democratic Ohio state Rep. Bernadine Kennedy Kent endorsed President Donald Trump on Tuesday for president and then greeted him aboard Air Force One before the first presidential debate.

Kennedy Kent praised Trump for low black unemployment rates and for his support of historically black colleges, in a statement earlier in the day. Then Kennedy Kent and her husband went on Air Force One to meet Trump in Cleveland before the debate against Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

“We all recognize that gainful employment and economic development is the best deterrent against violence and social unrest, so I want to thank President Trump for his commitment to ensuring the success of the Black community in every way,” Kennedy Kent said in a press release.

Joe Biden: I’m Guided By “What You Do to the Least of These You Do to Me.” But I Support Abortion

by Administrator

Joe Biden spoke at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner last night, which is a prominent event for Catholics. Biden likes to talk about his devout faith and used the occasion to tell Catholics about one of his favorite Bible verses, which seemed disingenuous since he supports abortion.

During the dinner, Biden shared how a famous Bible verse is a guide for how he approaches politics and public policy.

As the Register Citizen reported, Biden said his time in politics has been guided by the tenets of Catholic social doctrine: “What you do to the least among us, you do unto me.”
