SBA List Blasts Deceptively Named “Equality Act”: A Trojan Horse to Expand Abortion on Demand

“The deceptively named ‘Equality Act’ is the latest push by House Democrats to expand taxpayer-funded abortion on demand, against the will of the people,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “This Trojan horse legislation makes a mockery of equality by enshrining a ‘right’ to abortion, the greatest violation of human rights today.

“Catering to the most extreme elements of the abortion lobby, the bill’s definition of sex discrimination equates abortion with pregnancy and childbirth. If Democrats succeed in rolling back even modest pro-life protections, health care workers and institutions will be forced to participate in abortions. We urge every member of Congress to reject this assault on the unborn and conscience rights.”

Thanks to prenatal screening, newborn receives life-saving treatment for spinal muscular atrophy

Thanks to prenatal screening, newborn receives life-saving treatment for spinal muscular atrophy

by Administrator

At just four days old, a baby in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has become the youngest person to receive a cutting-edge life-saving treatment — one of the most expensive in the world.

Lexa Dennis was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) in the womb. Her older brother Axel also has the genetic condition, and her parents knew there was a 25% chance Lexa would too. SMA is a degenerative disease that happens when a specific gene that makes a protein for motor nerve cells is missing. Without the gene to make the protein, motor nerve cells start to die. When that happens, bodily functions like eating, breathing, and moving can become difficult or impossible.

Oklahoma Committee Passes Bill Banning Abortions When Unborn Baby’s Heartbeat Begins

Oklahoma Committee Passes Bill Banning Abortions When Unborn Baby’s Heartbeat Begins

Oklahoma House lawmakers advanced a pro-life bill Thursday to protect unborn babies with beating hearts from violent abortion deaths.

Fox 25 reports the heartbeat bill, House Bill 2441, passed the House States Right Committee in 5-1 vote.

Sponsored by state Rep. Todd Russ, R-Cordell, the bill would prohibit abortions once an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detectable, about six weeks of pregnancy. Exceptions would be allowed if the mother’s life is at risk or a doctor certifies in writing that her pregnancy is “medically futile.”

“This bill is about protecting the most vulnerable – the unborn child,” Russ said. “Hearing a heartbeat confirms what everyone already knows: These are living babies, not clumps of tissue that feel nothing.

Xavier Becerra Desperately Tries to Hide How He Wanted to Force Catholic Nuns to Fund Abortions

Xavier Becerra Desperately Tries to Hide How He Wanted to Force Catholic Nuns to Fund Abortions

Joe Biden’s nominee to be the HHS Secretary desperately tried to cover up his attempt to force the Little Sisters of the Poor to fund abortions today during a Senate hearing on his confirmation.

Although the California Attorney General fought in court to make the Little Sisters pay for abortion-causing drugs in their health care plan, he claimed during the hearing that he “never sued any nuns.”

Becerra sued the federal government in 2017 because President Donald Trump has instituted a pro-life rule to protect Christians from having to pay for abortions under the Obamacare abortion mandate. The Little Sisters of the Poor fought the lawsuit because they knew if the mandate were enforced and the pro-life rule overturn, their conscience rights would be in jeopardy.

I will never forget that day. I was 20 weeks pregnant and I had a doctor’s visit. It was the day when I had hoped my dream had to come true, a simple and incredibly big dream.

Let it be a girl! I thought. I will love her — I love my baby already despite the gender, but… I dream of a little girl!

I dreamed of how I would teach her that all girls are princesses, and would teach her true princess manners, and how to choose accessories that go with her outfit, and how to look after herself.

Planned Parenthood Kills 41 Babies for Every Woman It Helps With Prenatal Care

Planned Parenthood Kills 41 Babies for Every Woman It Helps With Prenatal Care

Last December, when new president Alexis McGill Johnson told the Washington Post that Planned Parenthood was through marginalizing abortion, declaring “We are a proud abortion provider,” she wasn’t kidding.

Planned Parenthood’s latest annual report for 2019-2020 has just come out and the group’s abortion performance and advocacy is front and center.

Despite a transition in leadership and a very slight decline in revenues, Planned Parenthood performed a record number of abortions – 354,871 – in 2019That would represent more than 41% of the most recent reliable national abortion figure, giving Planned Parenthood a commanding share of the nation’s abortion market.

Premature Baby Born at 22 Weeks Heads Home From Hospital

Baby Sofia Viktoria Birina was allowed to go home from the hospital on Feb. 10, nine days after her due date.

But the milestone was especially significant for the Scottish baby and her parents after she was born 18 weeks prematurely on Oct. 2, 2020, the UK news site RTE reports.

Sofia weighed 1.1 pounds at birth after she spent just 22 weeks in her mother’s womb, according to the report. In the UK, abortions are legal up to 24 weeks without restriction.

Her parents, Inars and Egija Birina, said the doctors put their daughter’s chance of survival at just 10 percent.

‘This kid wanted to be here’: Mom refused abortion multiple times for son with heart condition

The family of one brave Australian toddler is awaiting life-or-death news this week, anticipating his doctors’ decision about whether or not to perform a third open-heart surgery on the three-and-a-half-year-old boy. Diagnosed prenatally with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS), Samson Farkas’ parents were offered an abortion and refused.

During her third pregnancy, Renee McIntosh of Queensland, Australia, received news that no mother wants to hear. With  three boys (including a set of twins) at home, McIntosh learned in 2017 that her fourth child, also a son, had HLHS. According to the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control, HLHS is a life-threatening and rare birth defect that “affects normal blood flow through the heart.”

Hannah Was in the Middle of the Abortion When She Changed Her Mind and Saved Landyn’s Life

A mom who took steps to save her unborn child after starting a chemical abortion is thankful to have her son, and she is urging other moms who believe abortion is their only choice to pause and not act in haste.

You will not regret having your baby, Hannah would like those moms to know, whereas the absence of your child would be unthinkable.

Baby Landyn, now 19 months old, was saved through abortion pill reversal (APR). Listening to his mom, it’s clear that this little boy brings the family much happiness.

“I’m so, so glad that I didn’t do that,” Hannah said of her impending abortion.

Henk Reitsema wrote an insightful article that was published in the Times UK on February 23, 2021. Reitsema is responding to the campaign to legalize euthanasia in Scotland. Reitsema comments on the expansion of euthanasia and the growth in acceptance of other acts that cause death, but are not defined as euthanasia. He writes:

Campaigners plan a new move to legalise assisted suicide in Scotland this year. The Netherlands, which legalised euthanasia in 2001, should offer a cautionary tale. My country expected a fall in backdoor euthanasia and the stopping of incremental extension by pinning down the definitions in law.

Last week I reported that Canada’s Senate passed Bill C-7, the bill to expand Canada’s (MAiD) euthanasia law, with dangerous amendments that further expands the law.

As bad as Bill C-7 was, the Senate passed five amendments to Bill C-7. The primary amendments were expanding euthanasia to people with mental illness alone (with an 18 month reprieve for the federal government to develop rules) and incompetent people who had requested death in their advanced directive.

Woman with son conceived in rape speaks her ‘8 reasons’ to stand up for every human life

In a recent Facebook post, Jennifer Christie of Love Louder, Inc. offered a spoken word poem of her own to counter poet Amanda Gorman’s viral performance of “8 Reasons to Stand Up Today Against Abortion Bans in the United States.” Christie told Live Action News she was motivated to respond because of Gorman’s very first point about rape, which affects Christie personally.

“I love spoken word poetry,” said Christie. “A spoken word poem getting so much attention could be great for the medium, but how disheartening that it was one that was pro-abortion. And wrong! [Gorman’s] first point was that the penalty for rape was less than the penalty for abortion after rape.”

19th Texas City Bans Abortions, Becomes “Sanctuary for the Unborn”

Texas now has 19 cities that protect unborn babies from abortions.

The Texan reports the city of Goldsmith voted unanimously Wednesday to pass a Sanctuary for the Unborn ordinance and ban abortions within city limits.

The ordinance recognizes that unborn babies are valuable human beings who deserve to be protected under the law. It prohibits abortions within city limits and prevents abortion businesses from opening there. The ordinance also penalizes abortion practitioners for aborting unborn babies, but it does not penalize women who seek or have abortions.

“We declare Goldsmith, Texas to be a Sanctuary City for the Unborn,” the ordinance states.

Alveda King: Margaret Sanger Wanted to “Weed Us Out.” Now 20 Million Black Babies Have Been Aborted

Black History Month this year follows on the heels of the deadliest month of the coronavirus pandemic. We have long known the virus is more often fatal to Blacks than Whites but new headlines scream of something insidious afoot as we begin to deal with the virus: Blacks are being vaccinated at lower rates than whites.

Here’s why, according to Kaiser Health News, which commissioned the study that prompted the flurry of news stories:

“African Americans are being left behind because of barriers stemming from structural racism, as well as a failure to address nuanced hesitancy and mistrust about the vaccines and the medical system overall.”

An excellent article by Barbara Kay was published in the National Post today titled: Wider access to assisted dying in Canada will be catastrophic for the disabled. Kay is writing about Bill C-7, the bill to expand euthanasia in Canada, that will be voted-on in Canada’s Senate next week.

Kay explains that Bill C-7 is the government’s response to the Quebec Truchon court decision that struck down the requirement in the law that a person’s death be reasonably foreseeable to qualify for euthanasia. She explains how Bill C-7 goes far beyond Truchon.

Survey Shows 25% of Pro-Life College Students are Threatened and Harassed Over Their Abortion Views

Survey Shows 25% of Pro-Life College Students are Threatened and Harassed Over Their Abortion Views

One in four students are “threatened, abused, alarmed or distressed” for being pro-life at university, a shocking new survey has revealed. Michael Robinson, SPUC Director of Communications, said: “Pro-life students are routinely subject to discrimination and mistreatment solely because they uphold the humanity and worth of unborn children. It is vital that steps are taken to ensure that pro-life students are not silenced and can speak out about pro-life issues.”

The survey, conducted by the Alliance of Pro-life Students (APS), asked for the views and experiences of over 200 students at university in the UK.

The poll found that:

  • Over 70% of students faced situations in lectures or seminars where they felt “unable to speak” about their views.

OBGYN has pro-life conversion after miscarriage: ‘My pro-choice stance started to crack’

by Administrator

This week, the American Academy of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AAPLOG) released a video of an OBGYN physician who had a profound change of heart about abortion after her own personal experience with a miscarriage.

Dr. Lori Buzzetti described herself as pro-choice when she was in medical school, and she was more or less at peace with the idea of a woman aborting her baby. “I believed that the government shouldn’t have a say in what a woman did with her pregnancy,” Buzzetti said in the video. “I felt that abortion shouldn’t be used as a form of contraception, but there were certain circumstances where I felt that it was acceptable for a woman to undergo an elective termination.”

New Video Proves Unborn Babies Feel Pain, Baby Winces During Anesthesia Injection

New Video Proves Unborn Babies Feel Pain, Baby Winces During Anesthesia Injection

A new study has shown that unborn babies undergoing an anaesthetic injection into their thigh ahead of intrauterine surgery exhibit changes in facial expression similar to newborn babies experiencing pain.

The study, published at the end of last month by a team of researchers in Brazil, ‘Sorting pain out of salience: assessment of pain facial expressions in the human fetus’, found a difference in response between those fetuses exposed to a painful stimulus (an anaesthetic  injection) and those who were not.

Thirteen mothers participated in the study, their babies being between approximately 28 to 34 weeks’ gestation. Five of the babies were known to have a diaphragmatic hernia, whilst the other eight were healthy.

Pastor Calls Joe Biden a “Pro-Abortion Trojan Horse” Who Has Violated His “Devout” Catholic Faith

Pastor Calls Joe Biden a “Pro-Abortion Trojan Horse” Who Has Violated His “Devout” Catholic Faith

A prominent evangelical Christian leader called out President Joe Biden for blatantly defying the “bedrock beliefs” of the Catholic Church about the sanctity of every human life.

Dr. Richard D. Land, president of the Southern Evangelical Seminary, described Biden as a “pro-abortion Trojan horse” because of how the president’s professed beliefs conflict so strongly with his actions, Breitbart reports.

“Joe Biden has completely broken with his church’s bedrock beliefs in the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death,” Land wrote at the Christian Post.

His first executive orders included “greatly expanding the U.S. taxpayers funding of abortion both here and around the world” — an act that not only contradicted his faith but also the will of most Americans, Land continued.

A dangerous path: Why expanding access to medical assistance in dying keeps us up at night

This article was published by Menafn.com on February 8, 2021

By Dr Heidi Janz and Dr Ramona Coelho, a family physician in London, Ont.

When a government starts making laws based on the premise that some lives are not worth living, it is setting out on an extremely dangerous path.

That is the path that Bill C-7, the proposed law to expand access to Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) to people whose death is not imminent, sets Canada on.

This is what keeps us — two MDs and a PhD on wheels — up at night. We each have a different perspective on the dangers of expanding MAiD eligibility to people who are not dying.

My greatest regret is that I aborted the only child I ever conceived

My greatest regret is that I aborted the only child I ever conceived

by Administrator

I was married when I learned I was pregnant. I had become unhappy in my marriage after a short time, but to my own detriment, I was too independent and strong willed to try and work things out. I had closed my mind to the relationship and stubbornly held to that plan.

I didn’t want to confide in anyone, but there was one so-called friend who, seeing my unhappiness, told me about her two abortions and presented the option to me. I was so unhappy that I had become pregnant and thought that it would not fit in  with my plan to leave the marriage, so I decided on my own — with no open conversation with my husband — to have an abortion.

Four quotes from Black leaders reveal abortion’s detrimental impact on society

Four quotes from Black leaders reveal abortion’s detrimental impact on society

by Administrator

Abortion’s impact on the Black community cannot be overstated. Though the Black community comprises just 13% of the US population, Black women account for a tragic 34% of all abortions. But abortion is not limited to one race, economic status, region, or country. Abortion is not an issue of women’s rights — it is a human problem, and a grave human rights abuse.

Many Black leaders have pointed this out over the past decades, including the handful mentioned below who note the negative impacts legalized abortion has had on society, the family, and the world.

Parental consent

“People want to be able to tell me that if I have an adolescent daughter who gets pregnant and wants to have an abortion, she can have it without my consent or my knowledge — which is irrelevant to the debate over abortion.

Pro-life in Italy: Deaf since birth, I’m now fighting for the right to life of people like me

Being a pro-life activist is a challenge every day and I have found out that it isn’t always easy to speak up for life, especially when your opinion is deceptively targeted as “medieval,” “false,” or “against women’s rights.” But in the end it’s a battle that is worth fighting for. Recently I’ve been involved in a pro-life campaign in Italy, which made me understand how important is to stand on the side of the truth.

I have been profoundly deaf since birth. I chose to embrace the culture of life three years ago, when I discovered that deaf babies were being eliminated through eugenic abortion.
