EXCLUSIVE: Acquitted pro-life activist Mark Houck describes DOJ’s ‘act of terror’ against him and his family

by Administrator

In an exclusive interview following his acquittal on federal Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE Act) charges, pro-life activist Mark Houck and his wife Ryan-Marie joined Live Action president and founder Lila Rose to discuss the events that led to the charges, as well as details of the trial.

Houck, co-founder and president of The King’s Men, a Catholic men’s outreach organization, is an active pro-lifer who is present outside of a Philadelphia Planned Parenthood business on a weekly basis, ministering to women and men there for two decades and saving at least 100 babies from abortion. A familiar face to the Planned Parenthood staff, Houck said they knew that he was effective in helping women choose life, and that awareness is what he believes led to the event that occurred on October 13, 2021.

Abortion Pill is Not Safer Than Tylenol, Study Shows It Causes 107 Times More ER Visits

Abortion Pill is Not Safer Than Tylenol, Study Shows It Causes 107 Times More ER Visits

by Administrator

Abortion activists keep saying that abortion pills are safer than Tylenol, ignoring how their very purpose is to kill unborn babies.

Millions of unborn babies have been killed with the abortion drug mifepristone, or RU-486, since its approval under the Clinton administration. Currently, it is used for almost half of all abortions in the U.S., according to the Guttmacher Institute.

Growing evidence shows that the abortion drug is not safe for mothers either – certainly not safer than over-the-counter pain relief medication, as the pro-abortion movement and some news outlets claim.

A study from the pro-abortion research group Gynuity provides evidence that the claim is false.

Maine’s 2021 abortion report was published simultaneously with its 2020 report by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services. This report covers Maine’s most recent data, from 2021. The report indicates that abortions decreased from 2020 to 2021.

Statistics and Changes in Maine Abortions, 2020-2021

The report does not include information on Planned Parenthood’s Maine abortion market share.

Abortion Totals and Trends

There were 1,915 abortions reported in Maine in 2020, down 7.2 percent from the 2,064 reported in 2020 (Fig. 1). Similarly, chemical abortions decreased as well, by 19.8 percent, from 1,445 in 2020 to 1,159 in 2021.The Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI) estimates that Maine’s abortion rate in 2021 was 8.0 abortions per 1,000 women ages 15 to 44 and decreased from 2020’s abortion rate of 8.7, a decline of 8.8 percent (Fig.

Doctors Told Mom to Abort a Disabled Twin, She Refused and Both Babies are Doing Great

by Administrator

Abortion comes up so frequently as a medical option when an unborn baby has been diagnosed with a disability.

But an abortion does not treat or heal the baby or the mother. It just kills the child because their body does not function the way it should. Thankfully, many parents reject this “option,” including Marie Stockdale and Paul Kipling, of Penrith, Cumbria, England.

According to Derbyshire Live, doctors suggested an abortion after a 20-week ultrasound scan showed problems with their daughter Ava’s brain and esophagus. Later, Ava was diagnosed with a rare brain condition called rhombencephalosynapsis, her mother said.

“Because the condition is so rare, doctors had no idea how severely it would affect her, and I was offered a termination,” Stockdale said.

A recent article in Vox featured an interview with Linda Prine, an abortionist who founded the Miscarriage and Abortion Hotline. Her comments were revealing – perhaps quite a bit more so than she intended them to be.

Commenting on the changes she has seen at her hotline since the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade, Prine stated:

[T]he difference now is that many of our callers are later in their pregnancies, because they’re getting their [abortion] pills from overseas. They’re ordering pills from online pharmacies, and they come sometimes with no directions.

Four Doctors Groups Tell Federal Court to Pull Abortion Pill From Market, It’s Dangerous for Women

Four national medical associations and four doctors experienced in caring for pregnant and post-abortive women filed a brief Friday in federal court that pushes back on the Food and Drug Administration’s arguments against withdrawing or suspending its approval of chemical abortion drugs that harm women and girls.

In November, Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys filed suit against the agency on behalf of the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American College of Pediatricians, the Christian Medical & Dental Associations, and doctors Shaun Jester, Regina Frost-Clark, Tyler Johnson, and George Delgado.

“By illegally approving dangerous chemical abortion drugs, FDA officials put women and girls in harm’s way, and now it’s high time they were held accountable for their reckless actions,” said ADF Senior Counsel Erik Baptist.

Pro-abortion students at Vermont university shout: ‘We want to see them dead!’

A group of pro-abortion students at the University of Vermont protested a pro-life student display by shouting that they want to see preborn humans dead.

Students for Life of America (SFLA) Northeast Field Operations Coordinator Savannah Craven brought the Human Rights Tabletop to the university to educate students on abortion, and at first, the display went well. “Our morning started out beautifully as we had conversations with both sides of the aisle of the abortion issue,” Craven wrote in a blog post for SFLA. “However, it slowly turned into an angry pro-abortion mob that had as little respect for us as they do for the preborn.”

28 of the Best March for Life Signs

The Daily Signal reporters and staffers from The Heritage Foundation are on the ground for the 50th annual March for Life, and they’re sending in some of the best signs from the first march to take place since the Supreme Court overturned its infamous 1973 Roe v. Wade decision last June. (The Daily Signal is the news outlet of the Heritage Foundation.)

Americans across the country traveled to the nation’s capital to register their protest of the killing of thousands of babies at the hands of the abortion industry. While the Supreme Court has invalidated the finding in Roe that the Constitution enshrines a right to abortion, opening up the issue to regulation in the 50 states, marchers demand that Congress act to limit or abolish the intentional killing of babies in the womb.

100,000 Pro-Life Americans March for Life, Celebrate Supreme Court Overturning Roe v. Wade

A new enthusiasm for saving lives filled the March for Life on Friday in Washington, D.C. where a huge crowd gathered to celebrate the end of Roe v. Wade.

This January marked the 50th year since the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Roe and forced states to legalize the killing of unborn babies in abortions. In June, however, the high court reversed its infamous decision and began allowing states to protect unborn babies’ lives again.

Reflecting on this year’s historic march, Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life, said the pro-life movement has huge new opportunities to protect innocent human lives through education and legislation.

Pro-life Democrat from Connecticut slams abortion industry’s racism at March for Life

by Administrator

Pro-life Democrat Treneé McGee, a state representative in Connecticut, spoke at the 50th annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. on Friday, calling out the abortion industry for its racist roots that continue still spread today.

“To Fannie Lou Hamer and the Black women of the movement, your work to educate our community was not in vain. Your knowledge and insight into the systemically racist abortion industry is being exposed. Your ‘no’ to Margaret Sanger the day she came to your doors and told you to abort your children will be heard around the world,” said McGee. “The younger generation of Black, Latina, Indigenous, and women of color are taking our rightful place to expose the mass genocide of our children and the stain of blood across the movement that says its standing to protect us.”

Biden Tells Judge “Public Will be Harmed” if We Can’t Kill Babies With Abortion Pills

Biden Tells Judge “Public Will be Harmed” if We Can’t Kill Babies With Abortion Pills

The Biden administration told a federal judge today that the public would be harmed if babies can’t be killed with dangerous aboriton pills.

A group of doctors and medical associations are challenging the federal government’s decision to approve dangerous abortion drugs in a new lawsuit, saying authorities skirted the process and put patients’ lives at risk.

In the lawsuit from the Alliance Defending Freedom, the doctors said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration “illegally” prioritized abortion politics over science and patients’ health when it approved the abortion drugs mifepristone and misoprostol in 2000.

These drugs now are used to abort more than half of all unborn babies in the U.S.

Premature Baby Born at 23 Weeks Defies the Odds, Celebrates His First Birthday

Premature Baby Born at 23 Weeks Defies the Odds, Celebrates His First Birthday

A micro-preemie born at just 23 weeks gestation has just celebrated his first birthday after spending 155 days in hospital and defying all the odds.

Baby Amandi was born on 10 January 2022, weighing only 1lb 5oz in Austin, Texas. He was born a week before the abortion limit in the UK and doctors thought that he only had about a 10% chance of survival.

His parents, Tolulope Omokore and Patrick Allen, were expecting twins but sadly, in January 2022, when Tolulope was a little over 22 weeks pregnant, she started to bleed. She went into hospital and discovered that one of her twins, who she named Asaiah had died in utero.

Poll Shows 69% of Americans Want Abortions Banned or Limited

A new Marist College poll finds 69% of Americans want abortions banned or limited.

The poll found almost half of Americans support abortion bans and almost 70% of Americans want to ban late-term abortions.

“Nearly 7 in 10 Americans believe abortion should be limited,” Dr. Barbara L. Carvalho, Director of the Marist Poll, said in a statement Wednesday. “After a year of contentious public debate over the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision, the results are comparable to the findings of a Knights of Columbus–Marist Poll conducted last January.”

The poll also found that support for abortion bans and limiting abortion has increased from June 2022 – when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v.

New Marist poll: 91% of Americans affirm pro-life pregnancy centers

by Administrator

The January 2023 Knights of Columbus-Marist Poll has revealed that a whopping 91% of Americans support the existence of pregnancy resource centers, which offer resources to women during pregnancy and after their babies are born. These centers have been attacked by abortion advocates who seem to see them as a threat to abortion businesses.

In May 2022, the draft of the Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization was leaked and indicated that the court would overturn Roe v. Wade. This news led to a slew of physical and political attacks against pro-life organizations and churches that continued well after the official decision to end Roe was handed down on June 24.

Maine Gov. Janet Mills Wants to Legalize Abortions Up to Birth

Maine Gov. Janet Mills Wants to Legalize Abortions Up to Birth

Maine Gov. Janet Mills voiced her support Tuesday for legislation to allow viable, late-term unborn babies to be aborted in her state.

The Bangor Daily News reports Mills and state Democrat leaders revealed their plans to expand abortions during a press conference Tuesday, including the late-term abortion bill.

Currently, abortions are legal up to 24 weeks in Maine, but pro-abortion Democrats control the state legislature and they want to expand the life-destroying practice even more in the coming months.

One bill that has Mills’ support would allow unborn babies to be aborted through all nine months of pregnancy if a doctor says the abortion is medically necessary, according to the report.

Trial for sidewalk counselor raided by the FBI set to begin this month

by Administrator

The trial for Mark Houck, a pro-life sidewalk counselor whose home was raided by the FBI last year, will begin on January 24th in Philadelphia, according to a press release from the Thomas More Society.

Last September, FBI agents dressed in tactical gear reportedly raided Houck’s home early in the morning, in front of his wife and children. “He opened the door with hands up, and had AR-15s in his face,” family friend and spokesman Brian Middleton said at the time, which left his children “crying and screaming” and “traumatized.”

Houck maintained a regular presence outside a Planned Parenthood facility in Philadelphia as a sidewalk counselor, and in October of 2021, this led to an altercation with an abortion facility escort.

U.S. House to vote on Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act

by Administrator

The U.S. House of Representatives is scheduled to vote Wednesday on HR 26, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would secure medical protections for any infant who survives an attempted abortion.

Congresswoman Ann Wagner, the bill’s sponsor, said in a press release, “All children should have the right to receive lifesaving care, especially those who survive an abortion. The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act will provide commonsense protections for innocent children and their mothers and will ensure all babies receive the essential care they need at an incredibly vulnerable moment. It pains me that this fight has to be fought at all, but medical care for babies should not be a partisan issue.”

House Republicans Introduce Resolution Condemning Pro-Abortion Violence at Pregnancy Centers

Months after the Democrat-controlled U.S. House refused to condemn the wave of violence directed at pro-life advocates, the new House Republican leaders introduced a resolution Tuesday to do just that.

U.S. Reps. Chris Smith, R-New Jersey, and Mike Johnson, R-Louisiana, led more than 100 co-sponsors in calling on House lawmakers to pass the resolution, which condemns the violence and urges the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate the violence in the wake of the Dobbs v. Jackson leak and ruling.

“Since there has been ZERO accountability for the leaked opinion and ensuing violence, we are making the position of Congress crystal clear: Violence, property damage and threats MUST be condemned, and these clear violations of federal and state laws MUST be prosecuted,” Johnson wrote on Twitter.

Viral Story Claimed Woman Needed Abortion to Save Her Life, But the Claim Was False

The lies about pro-life laws putting women’s lives at risk are being exposed in a court case in Malta this month.

The small European country protects unborn babies by banning elective abortions, and has one of the lowest maternal mortality rates in the world, according to the Times of Malta.

Last year, however, Malta became the target of international news outrage after an American woman who was visiting the country accused its doctors of putting her life at risk by refusing to abort her unborn baby when she suffered pregnancy complications. The woman, Andrea Prudente, a United States citizen, traveled to Spain for an abortion and later sued Malta for allegedly jeopardizing her life.

Idaho Supreme Court Confirms There’s No Right to Abortion

Idaho Supreme Court Confirms There’s No Right to Abortion

In Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the Supreme Court held in June that the U.S. Constitution “does not confer a right to abortion” and, therefore, abortion advocates will be challenging pro-life laws in state courts under state constitutions.

On Thursday, the Idaho Supreme Court upheld that state’s ban on abortion, holding that “we cannot read a fundamental right to abortion into the text of the Idaho Constitution.” (On the same day, the South Carolina Supreme Court came to the opposite conclusion about that state’s constitution.)

Idaho first made abortion a crime in 1864, when it was still a territory, and enacted many laws protecting the unborn since then, including new abortions bans in 2020 and 2021.

Former Pussycat Dolls lead singer Kaya Jones opened up about her abortions for the first time this week, sharing about the forgiveness that she found in God after suffering a “train of trauma.”

Jones, the lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls from 2003 to 2004, began speaking out against abortion several years ago. This week on Christine Yeargin’s “Speak Out” podcast, sponsored by Students for Life, she explained why: She had three herself and she deeply regrets them.

“You will regret it your whole life,” she said of her three abortions. “Even if I become a mother tomorrow, and I’m happily married and all is well, I’m still going to regret the three children I did not have.”

Every day, 2.4 million people tune in to watch Dr. Phil give mental health advice. Described as the top mental health show on TV, it is widely trusted by many Americans because Dr. Phil examines some of our society’s difficult issues.

Abortion is among the most difficult issues, which might be why the show addressed it twice this fall. To Dr. Phil’s credit, he generated a legitimate, straightforward debate; unfortunately, he also did a disservice to millions of suffering women when he dismissed their after-abortion grief.

“There is absolutely no evidence for any post-abortion syndrome,” Dr. Phil told Live Action’s Lila Rose.

Microsoft Supports Abortion, Then Complains There Aren’t Enough Workers

The multi-billion-dollar tech corporation Microsoft has been complaining about a workforce shortage while at the same time promoting the killing of unborn babies in abortions.

In a column at The Christian Post, financial economist Jerry Bowyer exposed the company’s contradictions after he participated in the annual shareholders meeting recently. Microsoft is one of dozens of companies that began offering abortion “benefits” (travel, lodging, meal expenses, etc.) in response to the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.

“It’s good that Microsoft recognizes that we have a demographic crisis,” said Bowyer, the president of Bowyer Research. “It’s not so good that they’ll pay for the expenses of people who abort their children.
