Supreme Court overturns Roe in anticipated Dobbs decision

WASHINGTON (CNS) — In a 6-3 decision June 24, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned its nearly 50-year-old decision in Roe v. Wade that legalized abortion in this country.

The court’s 213-page ruling in Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization was not totally unexpected due to the leak of an opinion draft a month earlier. The ruling emphasizes that there is no constitutional right to abortion in the United States.

The Dobbs case focused on an abortion clinic in Mississippi opposed to the state’s law banning abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

The court’s reversal of its longstanding abortion ruling brings abortion policy decisions to the state level.

Pregnancy Centers Have Saved 800,000 Babies From Abortions Since 2016

Pregnancy Centers Have Saved 800,000 Babies From Abortions Since 2016

A new analysis of a nationally representative dataset reveals that since 2016 more than 800,000 human lives have been saved through the community-based care of pro-life pregnancy centers, which provide local women with tangible support to address challenges related to pregnancy.

Currently, more than 2,700 pro-life pregnancy centers support pregnant women facing difficult circumstances with medical care and referrals, education, mentoring, and material support including diapers, car seats, and clothing.  Community-based support is offered through nearly 15,000 staff and almost 54,000 volunteers, which includes 10,200 licensed medical professionals (both staff and volunteers).

Charles A. “Chuck” Donovan, president of Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI), said:

“Radical pro-abortion activists have violently attacked pro-life pregnancy centers in recent weeks, which Speaker Pelosi and other national leaders have failed to condemn.

Radical Pro-Abortion Group Promises “Night of Rage,” Extreme Violence When Supreme Court Overturns Roe

Federal law enforcement officials recently advised churches to increase security after learning that a radical pro-abortion extremist group plans a “Night of Rage” once the U.S. Supreme Court releases its abortion ruling this summer.

First reported at Newsweek, the warning from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security appeared in an urgent memo from the Catholic Diocese of Stockton, California, to its clergy and staff.

According to the diocese memo, department agent Jesse Rangel said an “extremist group” is “calling for extreme violence” against churches and pro-life organizations starting at 8 p.m. on the evening when the Supreme Court issues its ruling on Dobbs v.

Supreme Court Overturns Roe v. Wade: “Constitution Does Not Confer Right to Abortion”

Supreme Court Overturns Roe v. Wade: “Constitution Does Not Confer Right to Abortion”

The Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade, with a 6-3 majority ruling in the Dobbs case that “The Constitution does not confer a right to abortion.”

“We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled. The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion. Roe and Casey arrogated that authority. We now overrule those decisions and return that authority to the people and their elected representatives,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote for the majority.

“The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision, including the one on which the defenders of Roe and Casey now chiefly rely—the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote in the majority opinion.

Wisconsin Planned Parenthood Will Stop Killing Babies in Abortions

Wisconsin Planned Parenthood Will Stop Killing Babies in Abortions

Wisconsin Planned Parenthoods will not be aborting unborn babies anymore after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in a momentous ruling Friday.

WBAY reports the abortion chain announced earlier this month that it will stop scheduling abortions after Saturday in anticipation that a pre-Roe state law that bans abortions will go back into effect. Now that the ruling has been released, they may have to stop abortions Friday instead.

“We certainly wanted to do our due diligence and not be scheduling appointments when we wouldn’t be able to fulfill them, so as of June 25th we will essentially have a pause on abortion care in Wisconsin, and we’re working with neighboring states who won’t see their abortion access taken away,” said Marianne Radley, of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin.

Abortion protesters riot as Wisconsin fails to overturn abortion ban

Abortion protesters riot as Wisconsin fails to overturn abortion ban

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers recently called for a special session to overturn an 1849 state law banning abortions. That session was held recently, and despite all the fervor from abortion activists to pressure lawmakers into voting in favor, the attempt to overturn the ban failed.

An attempt to take over the capitol building was led by Planned Parenthood, with protesters shouting as they lined the rotunda.

Republicans immediately gaveled in and out of the special session. “Wisconsin law has not changed, and our pro-life position has not changed,” State Sen. Devin LeMahieu said in a statement. “Killing innocent babies is not health care.”

New poll shows most Americans believe preborn children have rights

New poll shows most Americans believe preborn children have rights

(National Review) Americans United for Life (AUL) has partnered with YouGov to survey 1,000 Americans on their opinions about abortion, fetal personhood, and legal rights for the unborn. YouGov conducted the survey between May 6 and May 13, shortly after someone leaked a draft opinion in the Supreme Court case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

The poll sample included Americans with a wide range of views about abortion. Thirty-nine percent of respondents said they are pro-choice, 32 percent said they are pro-life, and 29 percent said they identify with neither label.

According to the poll results, a copy of which was provided exclusively to National Review, majorities believe in fetal personhood and believe that unborn children have a variety of rights.

Democrats Want Google to Censor Pro-Life Pregnancy Centers

Democrats Want Google to Censor Pro-Life Pregnancy Centers

The Center for Countering Digital Hate, which previously classified Media Research Center as one of the “Toxic Ten” of alleged climate misinformation, is now trying to pressure Google to suppress pro-life websites.

The U.K.- and U.S.-based Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH)  is targeting alternatives to abortion by calling search results for pro-life crisis pregnancy centers “anti-abortion fake clinics.”

Twenty-one lawmakers recently sent a letter to Google CEO Sundar Pichaiurging him to suppress the pro-life search results based on the CCDH report. The CCDH report claimed that 11.46 percent of results for the queries “abortion clinic near me” and “abortion pill” in “the 13 so-called Trigger Law states,” were actually pregnancy centers.

19 Attorneys General Blast Merrick Garland for Doing Nothing to Stop Pro-Abortion Domestic Terrorism

19 Attorneys General Blast Merrick Garland for Doing Nothing to Stop Pro-Abortion Domestic Terrorism

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, joined by 18 others, urged U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland on Tuesday to stop the increasing pro-abortion terrorism against pro-life organizations and churches in recent weeks.

In a letter, Yost and the other state attorneys general said pro-life organizations have been vandalized, firebombed or threatened almost every day since May when a leaked draft ruling showed the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.

“In America, we solve our differences with debates and ballots, not with bricks and Molotov cocktails,” Yost told Garland.

The attorneys general reminded the Biden administration leader that “justice cannot turn on partisan affiliation” and he has a duty to uphold the law.

New York leaders launch ‘unjust investigation’ into pregnancy center instead of its attackers

CompassCare Pregnancy Center in New York was the victim of a firebombing by pro-abortion extremists in early June, but instead of ramping up investigations to locate the perpetrators, state leaders are planning to investigate the pro-life center itself, with the potential to demand information on donors, clients, and affiliates.

CompassCare’s Buffalo facility was firebombed sometime between the evening of June 6 and early morning of June 7, 2022. It was tagged with the message “Jane was here” (watch news video). Over 600 pro-life pregnancy centers nationwide are using materials produced by CompassCare. As a result, the organization feels they could be further targeted.

Pro-life states expand health coverage for mothers

Pro-life states expand health coverage for mothers

The Supreme Court is expected to announce a ruling on the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case in the upcoming days. The recent draft opinion suggested the decision will reverse Roe v. Wade. As the nation prepares for potential changes in abortion access, many pro-life states are championing efforts to help women facing unplanned pregnancies and those in low-income situations.

Those efforts include extending Medicaid benefits to help expectant mothers. Typical benefits for postpartum mothers have lasted two months, but the extension will give new mothers benefits for one year after their child is born.

According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, several states including Florida, Arizona, Tennessee, and Texas have already extended health benefits for low-income postpartum mothers.

Dr. Thomas Hilgers is an OB/GYN who was in practice before Roe v. Wade, training for medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School followed by a residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine.

In his 2020 book, “The Fake and Deceptive Science Behind Roe v. Wade,” Hilgers says that, despite pro-abortion claims that illegal abortions were common before Roe, he only ever encountered one woman in all his years of practice who tried to induce an illegal abortion.

The incident, he writes, took place in 1972, when the woman was 18 weeks pregnant. She came to the emergency room one night with a fever of 103.6° F and with abdominal pain and tenderness.

The abortion pill has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use in the United States up to 10 weeks of pregnancy and is now the most frequently used method to kill humans in the womb. Despite the risks it carries to women’s health and lives, the abortion pill is now available to women without a prior medical exam to check for preexisting conditions or to estimate baby’s age, increasing a woman’s risk of complications. Live Action’s groundbreaking new “What is Abortion?” video series includes a video on the abortion pill, narrated by the late former abortionist Noreen Johnson, MD.

A message allegedly emailed to an anarchist blog by a pro-abortion terrorist group has claimed credit for the attack of two pro-life pregnancy centers in the area of Detroit, Michigan, but only published evidence of one of the centers attacked at the Abolition Media Blog, which claims online to be a “tool for movements dedicated to anarchist, abolitionist, and revolutionary perspectives.”

The image allegedly taken June 19, 2022, the night of the attack, shows just the Lennon Pregnancy Center in Dearborn Heights spray painted with message, “If abortions isn’t safe, neither are you!” This threat matches other messages left by Jane’s Revenge, a pro-abortion terrorist group that has threatened to ramp up violence in the wake of a possible overturn of the 1973 Roe v.

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin Proposes Amendment Banning Tax-Funded Abortions

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin Proposes Amendment Banning Tax-Funded Abortions

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America today celebrated the pro-life leadership of Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin after he proposed a budget amendment to stop taxpayer-funded abortion. The governor’s budget would restore a policy that mirrors the federal Hyde Amendment, which has saved more than 2.5 million lives.

Youngkin is keeping his promise to promote pro-life policies that protect the unborn and their mothers.

“We praise Governor Youngkin for keeping a key promise to pro-life voters and acting swiftly on the will of the people, who overwhelmingly reject abortion on demand. Abortion is not ‘family planning’ and Virginians’ hard-earned tax dollars should never be funneled to the abortion industry,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of SBA Pro-Life America.

Planned Parenthood Botched Abortion So Badly Woman Hemorrhaged, Then It Covered Up the 911 Call

On May 20, 2022, shortly after noon, an ambulance arrived at Baltimore Health Center – Planned Parenthood. A sidewalk counselor captured video of the emergency medical personnel’s arrival, as well as a patient being loaded into the emergency vehicle on a gurney.

But when Operation Rescue requested the 911 recording of the obvious medical emergency, a recording was provided of an altogether different incident – a woman who had coffee spilled inside her bag of belongings by the facility’s escort.

Operation Rescue later obtained a radio dispatch recording for the timeframe surrounding the sidewalk counselor’s documentation, and we were able to glean more information about the medical emergency.

Former Abortionist Explains Why He’s Now Pro-Life and Stopped Doing Abortions

Former Abortionist Explains Why He’s Now Pro-Life and Stopped Doing Abortions

It took a horrific tragedy for former abortionist Anthony Levatino to wake up and realize he was killing other people’s children.

And it happened when he lost one of his own.

In an interview Wednesday on The First TV, the New York OB-GYN explained why he finally quit aborting unborn babies and became a pro-life advocate.

As a young doctor, “I wouldn’t have hesitated to tell you I’m pro-choice,” Levatino said. “This is a decision between a woman, her doctor, and nobody including the baby’s father has anything to say about it.”

He said he learned to do first- and second-trimester abortions as part of his OB-GYN training, and began doing them as part of his private medical practice in the late 1970s and early ’80s.
