Catholic Bishops Blast Biden for Promoting Abortion: His “Single-Minded Extremism is Gravely Wrong”
The U.S. Catholic bishops issued a message condemning President Joe Biden’s “single-minded extremism” on abortion this week, telling the supposedly Catholic politician that killing unborn babies is “gravely wrong.”
The Catholic News Agency reports the message came from Archbishop William Lori of Baltimore on Tuesday in response to Biden naming a radical pro-abortion bill his top priority for 2023. Another archbishop recently described the legislation as “child sacrifice,” saying it’s what “one would expect from a devout Satanist, not a devout Catholic.”
Lori, chair of the Committee on Pro-Life Activities for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, said Biden’s abortion advocacy is “tragic” and “gravely wrong” because babies in the womb are valuable human beings, according to the report.
12 States are Fighting in Court to Stop Joe Biden From Making Americans Fund Planned Parenthood
The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals plans to hear a challenge Thursday to a Biden administration rule that forces taxpayers to fund abortion groups, including the billion-dollar abortion chain Planned Parenthood.
Bloomberg Law reports the appeals court will consider a request from 12 states for a preliminary injunction to block the rule regarding Title X, a taxpayer-funded family planning program.
Title X funds are not supposed to be used for abortions. The program provides family planning services to low-income individuals, and the law states that Title X grants may not be used “where abortion is a method of family planning.”
However, Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the U.S.,

Late-Term Abortionist Opening New Abortion Biz in Colorado That Could Kill Babies Up to Birth
An elderly late-term abortionist who is accused of nearly killing a woman in a botched abortion is working to open a new abortion facility in Colorado this year.
KRDO News 13 did not mention the new malpractice allegation against abortionist Leroy Carhart or his age – 81 — in its report about his plans to open a new abortion facility in Pueblo.
Carhart runs two Clinics for Abortion and Reproductive Excellence (CARE) abortion facilities in Nebraska and Maryland, and his website advertises abortions through the third trimester.
According to his abortion group, his new Pueblo facility will provide abortions in the first and second trimesters as well as birth control.
Five pro-life novels everyone should read
There are a plethora of nonfiction pro-life books to read, including Live Action founder Lila Rose’s work Fighting For Life. When it comes to the world of fiction, pro-life sensibilities are often told in a subtle way, leaving the values to the reader’s imagination. That being said, several authors have succeeded in capturing the culture of life while exposing the dark side of the abortion industry. Here are five pro-life novels you have to read (warning: possible spoilers ahead!):
Tilly by Frank Peretti
Originally written as a Focus On The Family radio drama, this 1988 novella tells the story of a couple who share a secret that is revealed when they find a gravestone with only one name — the name given to their child who died during an abortion.

Bristol, Virginia Votes to Ban Abortions, Prohibit Any Abortion Businesses
The Tennessee border city of Bristol, Virginia is trying to stop abortion facilities from opening there.
Virginia border towns became a target of abortion businesses after Tennessee banned abortions this summer. One abortion facility already opened in Bristol in July, but local residents are fighting back to stop their city from becoming a destination spot to abort unborn babies.
On Tuesday, the Bristol City Council voted unanimously to advance a pro-life zoning ordinance that would ban new abortion facilities from opening and restrict the one that is already there from expanding, the Tennessee Lookout reports.
More than 80 local residents participated in a rally outside prior to the meeting, holding signs that support Bristol becoming a “safe zone for life.”
Woman Rushed to Hospital After Abortion Biz Botches “Very Late-Term” Abortion
Two emergency vehicles, with sirens blaring and lights activated, arrived on the scene of an emergency at Hope Clinic for Women (HCW) in Granite City, Illinois, on Wednesday, October 12, shortly before 6 p.m.
The 911 dispatcher’s questions concerning the condition of the patient were unusually curtailed, and the caller’s language and tone seemed to be an attempt to minimize the seriousness of the situation.
The 911 recording, however, does confirm that a woman was experiencing post-procedure complications that required a “higher level of care.” The caller requested transport to Barnes-Jewish Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Abortionist OB/GYN sent woman in kidney failure six hours away for abortion instead of providing proper care
An OB/GYN abortionist is claiming that a woman had to be sent on a six-hour ambulance ride from Tennessee to North Carolina for an abortion to save her life. But this story raises some serious questions and concerns.
Leilah Zahedi-Spung is a maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialist in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She’s also an ardent abortion supporter who commits abortions. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, she claimed a patient of hers was pregnant in her second trimester with a baby who had been diagnosed with serious fetal abnormalities. Then the woman’s blood pressure began to rise. Fearing that the woman may have pre-eclampsia, Zahedi-Spung told her she needed an induced abortion, but that the law prevented Zahedi-Spung from committing one.
Barack Obama: Vote for Democrats So We Can Kill More Babies in Abortions
Former President Barack Obama is campaigning for pro-abortion Democrats in Pennsylvania as Republicans gain more ground in the polls.
This week, Obama appeared in a new 15-second ad from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee urging voters in the key swing state to support pro-abortion Democrats in November. He also plans to visit the state next week, according to Axios.
“In Pennsylvania, you’ve got some important choices to make this year,” Obama says, adding that “the fate of our democracy and a woman’s right to choose are on the line.”
By “right to choose,” Obama means the ability to abort an unborn baby for basically any reason up to birth anywhere in the U.S.

Thinking you are holier than others is form of self-worship, pope says
VATICAN CITY (CNS) — “Spiritual arrogance” — thinking one is holier or better than others — is a temptation everyone faces and is a form of self-worship, Pope Francis said.
“Where there is too much ‘I,’ there is too little God,” the pope told an estimated 35,000 people gathered in St. Peter’s Square Oct. 23 for the recitation of the Angelus prayer.
Commenting on the Gospel parable about the Pharisee and the tax collector, the pope said the lesson Jesus was trying to teach was that to approach God, people must look inside themselves and be aware of their own needs and failings.
Planned Parenthood offers online courses on at-home abortions
(C-Fam) The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) recently launched an online course on the use of abortion pills. The course is based on guidance from the World Health Organization and in collaboration with a website that promotes medication abortion even where it is illegal.
The IPPF course was launched on the website HowToUseAbortionPill.org, run by anonymous “dedicated individuals” and affiliated with an unnamed U.S.-based nonprofit. HowToUseAbortionPill.org demonstrates the owners’ disregard for national laws by advising women to dispose of “anything recognizable” if they live in a country where abortion is illegal or restricted.

The site not only keeps its ownership secret, it encourages potentially dangerous and illegal drug activity, and claims credibility from the World Health Organization, citing the WHO’s extreme abortion guidance.
Georgia Fights in Court to Defend Heartbeat Law Banning Abortions
On Monday, in the first of two scheduled days set aside to hear oral arguments over Georgia’s Heartbeat Law, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney listened as pro-abortionists argued the law violates the Georgia Constitution’s right to privacy and liberty by “forcing pregnancy and childbirth upon countless Georgians.”
By contrast, in a court filing, the state attorney general’s office said Georgia’s privacy protections do not extend to abortion because it affects another “human life.”
“There is a third party involved,” Georgia Solicitor General Stephen Petrany told McBurney yesterday.
The 2019 law is currently being enforced, thanks to a July ruling from the 11th U.S.
Bowling Green, Ohio Measure Would Promote Abortion, Attack Pregnancy Centers
Today, Ohio Right to Life (ORTL) issued a letter to Bowling Green City Council urging them to vote down Proposed Ordinance 9031 that would make mothers seeking an abortion a “protected class.” In Ohio Right to Life’s letter, they stated that as written, the amendment violates free speech protected by the First Amendment, and that if passed by the Council, the ordinance will be challenged in court by many organizations, including ORTL.
The ordinance was first introduced on October 3rd. In the second reading of the ordinance on October 17th, over 150 individuals from the area came to speak out against it.
Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron: “There is No Right to Abortion”
The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade affirms what we all have known—that the U.S. Constitution says nothing about the right to an abortion and that abortion policy must be left to the states. As lawmakers across the country undertake the hard work of legislating in this area, it is inevitable that legal challenges to pro-life laws will arise. That is currently happening in Kentucky. But my office is opposing any judicial action that would create a Kentucky version of Roe.
As a starting point, there is no right to an abortion in the Commonwealth’s constitution. When courts interpret that document, they look to the express language.
Mom Sues Planned Parenthood After Giving Birth to Dead 30-Week-Old Baby in a Toilet
A traumatized young mother is suing Planned Parenthood after giving birth to her late-term unborn baby in a toilet, saying she never would have aborted her son if the abortion chain had provided her with basic medical care, such as a physical exam or an ultrasound.
Live Action News first reported about the lawsuit this week from the young New York woman, “Jane Doe.” According to the lawsuit, her baby, a son referred to by the initials J.T., died as a result of the abortion; he was nearly full term, between 30 weeks and 36 weeks of pregnancy.
Doe said Planned Parenthood abortionist Meera Shah estimated she was only about six weeks of pregnancy.
Democrat Wants 150 New Abortion Centers to Kill More Babies in Abortions
Pennsylvania pro-life leaders are calling out a ridiculous new pledge from a Democrat lawmaker that calls for adding what amounts to more than 150 new abortion facilities across the state.
The “pledge to protect and expand abortion” comes from state Rep. Elizabeth Fielder, D-Philadelphia, and asks lawmakers to join her in working to expand abortion facilities, support taxpayer-funded abortions, end parental consent laws and more, according to the Pennsylvania Family Institute.
“Pennsylvania voters are now realizing just how extreme many Democrat politicians are in pushing abortion — even at the expense women’s health,” organization president Michael Geer said in a statement.
Single Mom Who Rejected Abortion Graduates From College, Becomes a Nurse
A mom who chose life and achieved her educational goal with assistance from an Ohio pregnancy center recently shared her inspiring story on television, illustrating the importance of pregnancy help for a national audience.
Moriah became pregnant at 16 and received support from a local pregnancy help center where she learned her options and obtained material assistance and personal support, along with parenting courses. She was helped by a pregnancy center for her second child as well, including receiving a free ultrasound.
Moriah completed high school, graduated from college and became a nurse. Later she would complete a master’s degree the same year her son graduated from high school.
A traumatic abortion experience leads to a life dedicated to pro-life ministry
At age 24, Linda Fernandez socialized with friends for whom the college experience was about getting drunk, being promiscuous, and finding comfort from liaisons with men. This way of life was attractive to Fernandez who always tried hard to win love from those around her as a way to deal with a traumatic childhood experience.
Fernandez told Live Action News, “I was so young, just six years old at the time this [trauma] happened. I couldn’t tell anyone about it, so all my life I tried to take charge and be rebellious. It was a way to handle my secret shame.”
