The Nashville Metro City Council may cut jobs to create a new fund to help Planned Parenthood abort more unborn babies.

On Thursday, Tennessee began enforcing a new law that protects unborn babies by banning abortions. The pro-life law is expected to save thousands of unborn babies’ lives every year.

However, at least six Nashville city council members oppose the law, and, in response, they announced a new plan to spend $500,000 to fund abortion travel and sex education through a grant to Planned Parenthood, The Tennessean reports.

City leaders told several local news outlets that there is not enough money in the budget for the plan, and they may have to cut staffing positions and delay other projects to fund it.

Misplaced compassion often compels people to support abortion in cases of rape.

But aborting an unborn baby does nothing to heal the mother from the horrific abuse that she suffered. Often the opposite, according to research.

“Ending the life of a preborn human being, regardless of how she was conceived, does not address the crime of her father and does not improve the primary victim’s mental health outcomes,” said Dr. Christina Francis, an Indiana OB-GYN and CEO-elect of the American Association of Pro-life Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

In an interview with The Federalist, Francis expressed compassion for victims of sexual abuse while pointing out that abortion is not a proven physical or psychological treatment for their trauma.

Senator James Lankford (R-OK) on Friday sent a letter to Secretary of Veterans Affairs (VA) Denis McDonough to share his concerns with a not -yet-public Interim Final Rule (IFR) recently submitted by the VA to the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) pertaining to “reproductive health services” at the VA, that may attempt to usurp federal law and provide abortions at VA medical facilities.

In his letter, Lankford raises his concerns about the rule because of the Biden Administration’s ongoing obsession with abortion and Secretary McDonough’s recent concerning statements about how the VA wants to offer a “full slate” of women’s health services after the decision in Dobbs.

A notorious late-term abortion clinic in Dayton, Ohio will finally close down on September 15, making the city abortion-free.

The Women’s Med Dayton was frequently in the news for injuring women in botched abortions, losing its medical license or for killing babies in very late abortions. But the abortion center has announced that it will permanently close down next month.

Following the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, the Ohio Supreme Court issued a ruling in July rejecting a request from abortion businesses to block the state’s heartbeat law that bans abortions when an unborn child’s heartbeat can be detected.

The pro-life candidates for statewide office in Georgia are leading their pro-abortion counterparts, according to a new Emerson poll.

The survey shows pro-life Senate candidate Herschel Walker leading pro-abortion Senator Raphael Warnock. Walker now leads by two points, 44% to 46%. Four percent plan to vote for someone else and 7% are undecided.

Spencer Kimball, Executive Director of Emerson College Polling said, “Walker leads Warnock among rural voters 58% to 24% while Warnock leads Walker 66% to 25% among urban voters. In the suburbs, voters are breaking for Walker by a nine-point margin, 50% to 41%.”

In the gubernatorial 2018 re-match, 48% plan to support pro-life Governor Brian Kemp, 44% plan to support pro-abortion candidate Stacey Abrams, 6% plan to vote for someone else, and 2% are undecided.

U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called restricting abortion “sinful” on Women’s Equality Day, in contradiction to her Catholic faith.

“The fact that this is such an assault on women of color and women — lower income families is just sinful. It’s sinful,” the Democrat from California said during a “reproductive health” panel on Aug. 26. “It’s wrong that they would be able to say to women what they think women should be doing with their lives and their bodies. But it’s sinful, the injustice of it all.”

Pelosi made her comments while visiting the University of California San Francisco Mission Bay campus for a “reproductive health roundtable discussion.”

Thousands of OB-GYNs across the country are urging the news media and abortion activists to “correct the record” on pro-life abortion bans for the sake of mothers and babies.

Since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June, abortion activists have flooded news outlets and social media with lies and half-truths about state abortion bans restricting women’s health care.

But pro-life laws ban killing, not medical care, and the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AAPLOG), which represents 7,000 OB-GYNs, is working hard to spread that message.

The Washington Examiner reports the doctors’ association just began a new campaign to “correct the record” on abortion and state pro-life laws.

Following the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade the Indiana legislature became the first in the nation to pass an abortion ban after the Supreme Court overturned Roe. The measure went to Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb, who signed the bill into law almost immediately.

The Planned Parenthood abortion business is not happy and filed a lawsuit today challenging the ban in court.

The lawsuit filed in a Monroe County court claims the ban, set to take effect on Sept. 15, “strips away the fundamental rights of people seeking abortion care” in violation of the Indiana Constitution. It argues the law “will infringe on Hoosiers’ right to privacy, violate Indiana’s guarantee of equal privileges and immunities, and includes unconstitutionally vague language.”

A stunning monument to life was installed in Rome this past May and is also making its way around the United States.

The Life Monument is the first pro-life sculpture in the Eternal City, according to the work’s creator, Canadian sculptor Timothy Schmalz.

“Now, more than ever, with the debate underway in the United States, this sculpture, which is in Rome and also in the USA, is even more meaningful,” Schmalz said, referencing the U.S. Supreme Court Dobbs decision that ultimately overturned Roe v. Wade.

“It is a celebration and also a persuasion,” Schmalz said. “I wanted to use art to persuade people and remind everyone that life is beautiful.”

CNN on Tuesday spent over seven minutes hyping Republicans trying to hide their allegedly extreme position when it comes to abortion. Reporter Kyung Lah spotlighted GOP senatorial candidates changing their website now that they have the nomination. But nowhere in the segment was there anything on the extreme stance of Democrats when it comes to abortion.

Host Brianna Keilar parroted the Democratic talking points about radical Republicans: “The Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade has energized voters and made abortion rights a flashpoint in the midterm elections. It’s given Democrats a boost. Now, some Republican candidates who were strongly opposed to abortion are suddenly softening their stance.”
