Cecile Richards: Killing 63 Million Babies in Abortions is “Progress for Women”

CNN At This Hour host Kate Bolduan welcomed former Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards onto her Friday show to condemn the trend of Republican states passing pro-life bills and to lament that this puts the United States out of touch with the rest of the world.

Against a chyron that read “more states move to restrict reproductive rights,” Bolduan reported, “Globally, we’ve been seeing a trend. Globally the trend is moving in one direction which is from Colombia in February to Mexico in September to Argentina legalizing abortion in 2020. Globally it seems to be moving one way, and then in the United States, as we’ve been talking about all of these states, it appears to be moving the other direction.”

Planned Parenthood retaliates against Oklahoma governor over pro-life legislation

Planned Parenthood retaliates against Oklahoma governor over pro-life legislation

Earlier this month, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt signed into law a bill that makes the majority of abortions a felony. Planned Parenthood is not pleased, slamming the bill as “cruel,” and has now launched a campaign in retaliation, aimed squarely at Stitt.

Emily Wales, interim president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Great Plains Votes, called the law a “dark day” for Oklahoma, promising to fight back.

“We have been in the middle of a crisis for the last seven months — as Texans have been forced to leave their home states for care — and now Oklahomans may have to do the same,” she said.

Pro-Life Pregnancy Centers are Helping Women Victimized by Sex trafficking

Pro-Life Pregnancy Centers are Helping Women Victimized by Sex trafficking

A growing body of evidence shows that Planned Parenthood isn’t just looking the other way when it comes to sex trafficking. They actually partner with sexual predators by aborting the evidence while cashing in.

Human sex trafficking has reached alarming levels in America and is literally all around us. That’s why a concerted effort to stop it is so important. Would it surprise you to find out that pro-lifers are in a battle to stand in the gap, protecting women and their babies from this insidious cartel?

Heartbeat International is an umbrella group that serves thousands of pro-life pregnancy help centers around the world.

Vermont legalizes assisted suicide by Zoom

Vermont legalizes assisted suicide by Zoom

Remember when we were told that assisted suicide would only be engaged in as part of an intimate and long-term physician/patient relationship?

Of course, the laws never required that. And now, Vermont has legalized assisted suicide by Zoom or Skype. The new law also eliminates the previous requirement that the doctor have examined the patient. In other words, the poison-prescribing doctor would seem to never have to actually meet the patient in person. From the recently passed and signed S 74:

(a) A physician shall not be subject to any civil or criminal liability or professional disciplinary action if the physician prescribes to a patient with a terminal condition medication to be self-administered for the purpose of hastening the patient’s death and the physician affirms by documenting in the patient’s medical record that all of the following occurred:

(1) The patient made an oral request to the physician in the physician’s physical presence or by telemedicine, if the physician determines the use of telemedicine to be clinically appropriate, for medication to be self-administered for the purpose of hastening the patient’s death.

Oklahoma Legislature Passes Texas-Style Bill Banning Abortions on Babies With Beating Hearts

Oklahoma Legislature Passes Texas-Style Bill Banning Abortions on Babies With Beating Hearts

The Oklahoma legislature has passed a pro-life law that would ban abortions in the same manner as Texas did. The Texas abortion ban is a unique law that has been on the books for almost 250 days days and saved thousands of babies from abortions.

Once pro-life Governor Kevin Stitt signs the bill into law, Oklahoma will be the third state to have passed such a law, following Texas and Idaho. Although the Texas law has survived pro-abortion lawsuits and been affirmed at both the Supreme Court and the Texas Supreme Court, the Idaho law has been put on hold while the lawsuit agaisnt it continues.

Five Full-Term Babies Were Aborted and There’s Still Been No Autopsy or Investigation

Five Full-Term Babies Were Aborted and There’s Still Been No Autopsy or Investigation

Photographs of the dead bodies of five very large and significantly developed fetuses—which had been found in a “medical waste” container outside a Washington, D.C., abortion center in late March—seem to indicate that some of the children may have died in illegal “live-birth” or “partial-birth” abortions.

The discovery prompted pro-life groups and legislators to call for an investigation into possible violations of two federal laws, the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act and the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act.

Medical experts who studied the photos agreed that the deceased children likely died after viability, late in the second or third trimester of their mothers’ pregnancies.

Arkansas City Passes Resolution Declaring Itself Pro-Life, Says Unborn Babies Have a “Right to Life”

Arkansas City Passes Resolution Declaring Itself Pro-Life, Says Unborn Babies Have a “Right to Life”

On Tuesday the Bryant City Council adopted a resolution affirming that the community is Pro-Life. Bryant is located in Saline County, which approved a separate Pro-Life resolution in September.

Last year the Arkansas Legislature enacted Act 392 of 2021 by Rep. Kendon Underwood (R – Cave Springs) and Sen. Gary Stubblefield (R – Branch) affirming that cities and counties can designate themselves as Pro-Life. Act 392 also says that Pro-Life Communities can install signs or banners announcing that they are Pro-Life.

Bryant’s pro-life resolution reads:

A RESOLUTION AFFIRMING THE COMMITMENT OF THE CITY OF BRYANT, ARKANSAS TO PROTECTING THE UNALIENABLE RIGHT OF LIFE OF EVERY PERSON; AND DECLARING THE CITY OF BRYANT, ARKANSAS TO BE A PROLIFE CITY

WHEREAS, the Declaration of Independence declares that all men are created equal, and that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, including the right to life, and;

WHEREAS, Amendment 68 to the Arkansas Constitution states that the policy of the State of Arkansas is to protect the life of every unborn child from conception until birth; and;

This Abortionist Travels From State to State to Kill as Many Babies in Abortions as Possible

This Abortionist Travels From State to State to Kill as Many Babies in Abortions as Possible

Shelly Tien is one of about 50 traveling abortionists in the U.S. who rushes from state to state aborting unborn babies and then leaving their mothers to suffer the consequences on their own.

But Tien and other abortionists often are portrayed as heroes in popular culture for their unnecessary, life-destroying work.

This week, Reuters published a profile of Tien, who works full-time at a Planned Parenthood in Jacksonville, Florida, but also travels to Alabama and Oklahoma to abort unborn babies.

Tien told the news outlet that she does abortions because she believes in the saying “Medicine = science + love.”

Senator Marco Rubio Sponsors Bill to Defund Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz

Senator Marco Rubio Sponsors Bill to Defund Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz

New legislation by U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio would strip tens of millions of Americans’ tax dollars from the nation’s largest abortion chain, Planned Parenthood.

Bloomberg Law reports the Florida Republican’s resolution would overturn a rule from President Joe Biden’s administration that allows abortion groups to receive tax dollars through the Title X family planning program.

“The Biden Administration’s rule is an assault on the most sacred and fundamental human right, the right to life,” Rubio said in a statement. “I will continue to protect the sanctity of life and do everything I can to make sure taxpayer dollars are not used for or promote abortions.”

Catholic Priest Tells Politician Abortion is the “Murder of an Unborn Child”

Catholic Priest Tells Politician Abortion is the “Murder of an Unborn Child”

A Catholic priest in Malta criticized a prominent political leader this week for abandoning his pro-life stance on unborn babies’ right to life.

Lovin Malta reports Monsignor Anton Gouder reminded Malta Parliament Opposition Leader Bernard Grech that abortion is the “murder of an unborn child.”

Earlier this week, Grech appeared to abandon his pro-life stance in an interview with Xtra, saying politicians “shouldn’t tell people how to live their lives,” according to the report.

Malta is facing intense international pressure to legalize the killing of unborn babies in abortions. It is one of the few countries in Europe that still protects their right to life.

The Texas Heartbeat Act, in effect since September 2021, bans abortions after the detection of a fetal heartbeat except in medical emergencies.

Texas Alliance for Life characterized the ruling as a victory, but noted that thousands of abortions are still performed each year in Texas because of the legal framework of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court case that legalized abortion nationwide in 1973.

Idaho Lawmakers Fighting Hard to Defend Texas-Style Abortion Ban in Court

Idaho Lawmakers Fighting Hard to Defend Texas-Style Abortion Ban in Court

On Monday, without comment, the Idaho Supreme Court allowed state lawmakers to intervene in a lawsuit “challenging the constitutionality of a law they passed earlier this year that would ban abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy,” the Associated Press’s Keith Ridler reported.

The law is set to go into effect on April 22.

The request to take part in defending the Fetal Heartbeat Preborn Child Protection Act [Senate Bill 1309] came from Republican House Speaker Scott Bedke, Republican Senate President Pro-Tem Chuck Winder, and the Legislature. Last week, also without comment, the Court said the Catholic Church could not file a friend of the court brief.

Court Strikes Down University’s Anti-Free Speech Policy Banning Student From Saying “Abortion is Immoral”

Court Strikes Down University’s Anti-Free Speech Policy Banning Student From Saying “Abortion is Immoral”

In a victory for pro-life free speech, a federal appeals court struck down the University of Central Florida’s speech code that university officials used to limit free speech on campus.

The group Speech First launched the lawsuit against the University of Central Florida (UCF) after challenging three of its policies that suppress and punish student speech on campus. According to the group, UCF engaged in a discriminatory harassment policy, a discriminatory computer use policy and had a Just Knights Response Team that suppressed conservative speech.

“Through the use of these policies, the UCF and its administrators created a series of rules and regulations that restrain, deter, suppress, and punish speech about the political and social issues of the day,” the group said.

Women Who Regret Their Abortions Share Their Stories at Abortion Clinic, Save Babies From Abortions

Through their message of forgiveness and hope, a group of post-abortive women helped four mothers choose life for their unborn babies last week outside a Mississippi abortion facility.

Live Action News reports Serena Dyksen, founder of the post-abortion healing ministry She Found His Grace, organized the April 15 event with several other pro-life groups outside the Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the only abortion facility in Mississippi.

On the sidewalk, the women shared their testimonies, many carrying signs that read “My choice has a name” above the names of their aborted babies.

Dyksen told Live Action that their group spoke with men, women and abortion workers, and four mothers canceled their abortion appointments that day.

Over 500 pro-life measures have been introduced in a majority of states so far in 2022. This follows a similar trend set in 2021, when a staggering amount of pro-life legislation was introduced and passed — so much so, that the abortion industry described it as the “Worst Year for Abortion Rights in Almost Half a Century.”

According to data released by the Guttmacher Institute, 536 pro-life legislative measures have been introduced in 42 states in 2022, as of April 14. The former “special affiliate” of Planned Parenthood also claimed that 28 pro-life proposals have thus far passed at least one legislative chamber in 11 states, with 33 pro-life laws enacted in nine states, including Arizona (2), Florida (1), Idaho (1), Indiana (2), Kentucky (19), Oklahoma (1), South Dakota (5), West Virginia (1) and Wyoming (1).

Premature Baby Given 1% Chance of Survival Has Lifesaving Surgery, Now She’s Doing Great

Baby Harper had the odds stacked against her.

Not only was she born extremely prematurely at 23 weeks of pregnancy, but she also had an incomplete esophagus. Doctors at Rocky Mountain Hospital in Denver, Colorado put the tiny baby’s chances of survival at just 1 percent.

But a year and two surgeries later, parents Kayla Hatch and Victor Jacobo, of Nebraska, said Harper is home and doing well.

KDVR News 8 reports Harper and her twin sister, Gabriella, were born prematurely in February 2021 at a hospital in their home state of Nebraska.

Because the twins were so premature, their local hospital transferred them to the Rocky Mountain Hospital in Denver, which specializes in treatment for premature babies.

Vicki Thorn, a longtime pro-life activist, author, member of the Pontifical Academy for Life, and founder of Project Rachel, has passed away at the age of 72. She is survived by her husband, William, their six children, and 17 grandchildren.

Thorn settled in Milwaukee with her husband after marrying, where she served as co-chair of the archdiocese’s Respect Life office. But her background, which included a degree in psychology and work as a certified trauma counselor, called her to do even more — especially given a life-changing experience in her teens.

Growing up in Minnesota, Thorn had a close friend who confessed she had undergone an abortion, which her mother had arranged for her.

Report: More than 3,000 lives have been saved by abortion pill reversal

Report: More than 3,000 lives have been saved by abortion pill reversal

by Administrator

According to Heartbeat International, more than 3,000 lives have now been saved from abortion by abortion pill reversal, with approximately 150 women starting the reversal process every month.

The abortion pill, also called a chemical abortion, is approved for use up to 70 days into a pregnancy. Abortion pill reversal is a process that works to combat the effects of the first drug of the abortion pill regimen (mifepristone) with the goal of saving the lives of preborn children whose mothers have taken the drug but regret it. Mifepristone blocks the action of the natural pregnancy hormone progesterone, which helps to nurture the growing baby and sustain the pregnancy.
