Book tells stories of post-abortion regret… while oddly claiming women are empowered by it

by Administrator

A 2022 pro-abortion book contains a study on post-abortive women by Meredith Navarro-McCullar, an abortion doula who “helps” women by providing transportation to abortion facilities, overnight housing, and childcare. There is no pro-life bias in this book, and therefore, this makes her admissions particularly striking.

Bias against women with negative abortion experiences

First, Navarro-McCullar admitted, “The literature concerning the postabortion responses of women appears biased towards the political affiliation of the author. The women who have negative emotional responses postabortion are seldom recognized.”1

Pro-abortion researchers invariably claim that women don’t suffer psychological problems after abortion. The pro-abortion movement often ignores the suffering of post-abortive women.

BREAKING: Radical pro-abortion Women’s Health Protection Act fails to pass Senate

by Administrator

On Monday, the U.S. Senate failed to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA), which aimed to enshrine abortion into law as a right, through all nine months of pregnancy for any reason. All of the Senate Republicans who were present for the vote and one Democrat (Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va.) voted ‘no’ with a final vote of 48-46. Proponents of the bill needed 60 votes for it to succeed. The act narrowly passed the House in September 2021 in a 218-211 vote.

“This is talking about stripping away every protection for every child in the womb from any state in the country,” said Senator James Lankford (R-OK), chair of the Values Action Team.

Catholic Bishops Slam Democrat Bill for Abortions Up to Birth: Killing Babies is “A Violation of Human Rights”

by Administrator

U.S. Catholic bishops spoke out again this week against a radical pro-abortion bill slated for a vote in the U.S. Senate, calling it a “violation of human rights.”

In a letter to the U.S. Senate, Archbishop William Lori of Baltimore and Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York slammed the deceptively-named Women’s Health Protection Act for treating the killing of unborn babies in abortions as the moral equivalent to health care, Crux reports.

Abortion is “the opposite of health care and is an extreme violation of human rights,” the bishops told Senate leaders. “We strongly urge you to reject this bill and to put the energy and resources of our federal government behind policies that fully recognize and support both mothers and their children.”

WATCH: Planned Parenthood Caught Trying to Cover Up Botched Abortion That Tears Hole in Woman’s Uterus

by Administrator

When a woman suffered a life-threatening medical emergency at the Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Aurora, Illinois, last December, the caller did something that had the potential of adding risk to an already life-or-death emergency.

The Planned Parenthood caller asked that the ambulance respond with no sirens.  This is known to delay ambulance response times and is unconscionable in this case when the woman was in dire need of emergency hospital care.

Requests for no sirens usually indicates that the abortion facility does not want to draw attention to the fact that they just botched an abortion.

It was December 18, 2021, when the ambulance rolled up to the Aurora Planned Parenthood, responding to call for help for a woman suffering a suspected uterine perforation during a risky second trimester abortion.

EXCLUSIVE: Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears on the importance of standing for life

Winsome Sears, the first female and woman of color to hold the position of Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, is pro-life and has been since childhood. In an exclusive interview, Lt. Gov. Sears told Live Action News that growing up in Jamaica, there were certain things that everyone just knew were wrong, and abortion was one of them. And abortion remains illegal there.

“Our culture [in Jamaica] is different. It’s very much a Christian culture,” she explained. “We believe biblically that the baby in the womb has its own life and wants to live. I just grew up that way. That’s what drew me to the Republican party… I didn’t realize before that both parties had a difference of opinion of when life begins.”

Disability Leader Testifies Against Connecticut Bill to Legalize Assisted Suicide

I am an autistic adult and one of the leaders of Second Thoughts Connecticut, a coalition of disabled people opposed to the legalization of assisted suicide. Second Thoughts Connecticut is a member of the Connecticut Suicide Advisory Board. Personally, I serve on the board of directors of Euthanasia Prevention Coalition-USA and previously served on the Connecticut MOLST Task Force.

We in the disability community have read this year’s bill as we have in previous years. We notice the changes from previous assisted suicide bills in an attempt to win over the opposition and get it passed. I am here to say that essentially nothing has changed.

Abortionist Celebrates Killing Unborn Baby at 37 Weeks: “I Do Any Abortion I Think Appropriate”

by Administrator

In an article, in the Irish Independent,  Dr. Susan Robinson, who does abortions in the third trimester,  says that in the state of New Mexico (where she works) there are no restrictions on late term abortions.

She says:

“So there is nothing legal to stop me from doing any abortion that I think is appropriate.”

The article describes how Robinson uses ultrasound to date the ages of babies in the third trimester. However, this is unreliable:

“For pregnancies above 30 weeks Robinson relies on an ultrasound to check the age of the fetus but admits that this notoriously inaccurate method, combined with the often hazy conception dates provided by the women, can produce a window of error of plus or minus three weeks.”

In 2017, identical twins Briana and Brittany met Jeremy and Josh, also identical twins, at a festival for twins. Soon, the romance began. After only six months, both Jeremy and Josh had proposed to their respective girlfriends. The couples had a joint wedding ceremony at the Twins Day Festival in Twinsburg, Ohio, on August 5, 2018, and now share a home in Virginia.

On August 13, 2020, the couples posted big news to their shared Instagram account, exclaiming, “Guess what!!?? BOTH couples are pregnant. We are thrilled and grateful to experience overlapping pregnancies and to share this news with you all!”

Bloomberg writer parrots claim that abortion pill is safer than Tylenol – but here’s the truth

Bloomberg News’ U.S. healthcare reporter Cynthia Koons has joined the pro-abortion chorus, proclaiming that the deliberate killing of a preborn child with abortion pills is “safer than Tylenol.” The comparison between the abortion drug mifepristone and Tylenol is yet one more way the media is kowtowing to abortion enthusiasts to ensure the deadly pill regimen is stocked in the medicine cabinets of American women and girls.

CLAIM 1: “The abortion pill sends fewer people to the ER than Tylenol.”

Koons begins by linking several unrelated sentences about the abortion pill, (manufactured under the drug name mifepristone) together.

Researchers estimate 5.2 million children orphaned during pandemic

Researchers estimate 5.2 million children orphaned during pandemic

CLEVELAND (CNS) — An estimated 5.2 million children in 21 countries, including the United States, lost at least one parent, a custodial grandparent or a primary caregiver to COVID-19 during the first 20 months of the pandemic, social researchers and child well-being advocates said in a new study.

Notably, the researchers estimated that the number of children orphaned because of the pandemic nearly doubled during the six-month period ending Oct. 31, 2021, a period corresponding largely with the surge in the delta variant of the coronavirus.

The total number of orphaned children during the study period parallels the roughly 5 million COVID-19-caused deaths during the same time frame, the study said.

SBA List Statement on Biden’s Nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson for SCOTUS

SBA List Statement on Biden’s Nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson for SCOTUS

by Administrator

“Joe Biden is fulfilling his promise to only appoint justices who support the Roe v. Wade regime of abortion on demand up to birth – a policy so extreme only a handful of countries in the world hold it, including North Korea and China. Ketanji Brown Jackson is backed by many of America’s most radical pro-abortion groups. She is on record opposing the free speech rights of pro-life advocates pleading to save lives outside abortion centers and supporting the false claim that abortion is ‘health care.’ We have no doubt she will work with the most pro-abortion administration in history to enshrine abortion on demand nationwide in the law,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser.

Nebraska Bill Would Ban Abortions and Make Killing Babies a Felony

Nebraska lawmakers listened to testimony Thursday about a bill that would protect unborn babies by banning all abortions as soon as Roe v. Wade is overturned.

KETV 7 reports state Sen. Joni Albrecht, R-Thurston, said her bill, the Nebraska Human Life Protection Act (LB 933), would ensure that every human life is protected in Nebraska.

“Since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973, there have been almost 200,000 abortions in Nebraska,” Albrecht said.

Sometimes referred to as a trigger bill, Albrecht said 12 other states already have similar laws in place to ban abortions as soon as the U.S.

Colorado Democrats Block Three Pro-Life Bills to Protect Babies From Abortions

Colorado Democrat lawmakers rejected three pro-life bills this week that would have protected unborn babies and mothers.

The Gazette reports Democrats, who control the state legislature by a strong majority, voted against all three bills in 4-7 party-line votes.

Two of the bills, the Protect Human Life at Conception Act (House Bill 1047) and the Abolishing Abortion in Colorado Act (House Bill 1079), would have banned the killing of unborn babies in abortions for basically any reason, according to the Denver Post.

These bills would have saved thousands of unborn babies’ lives each year – including viable, late-term unborn babies.

Ketanji Brown Jackson Represented Pro-Abortion Groups Trying to Shut Down Pro-Life Free Speech

Ketanji Brown Jackson Represented Pro-Abortion Groups Trying to Shut Down Pro-Life Free Speech

It should surprise no one that Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, President Joe Biden’s nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court, has a pro-abortion record.

Biden promised that he would appoint a black female justice who supports the so-called “right” to abortion on demand.

And on Friday, he did. The White House announced Jackson as the president’s choice to replace retiring pro-abortion Justice Stephen Breyer, and pro-abortion groups quickly praised her as an excellent candidate.

Jackson once sided with them on a Massachusetts case that involved restricting pro-life advocates’ free speech rights.

According to Christian Headlines, Jackson signed an amicus brief in 2001 supporting a Massachusetts law that created a buffer zone hindering peaceful pro-life sidewalk counselors from reaching out to women outside abortion facilities.

While golden birthdays only happen once, this set of Georgia triplets will undoubtedly have something to remember about their special day for years to come. As WAGA-TV reported, siblings Jill, Ross, and Jake Bieniek turned 22 on February 22, 2022.

“Their Golden Birthday seemed so far away when they were born, and we thought about their unique date in history, but here it is! As they say when raising children, The days are long but the years are short,” the triplet’s father, Stan Bieniek, said.

According to People, to celebrate their golden birthday, all three children came home from college to spend the evening with their father Stan and their mother, Randy, who is an identical twin herself.

Baby Saved After Mom Changes Her Mind in the Middle of the Abortion

Every so often, my Facebook feed delivers a story which warms my heart and renews my faith in humanity.

Today was such a day.

The post that filled me with joy came courtesy of Dr. Monique Ruberu, a Philadelphia-area physician who is in the business of saving lives.

In her posting, Dr. Ruberu noted that, nine months ago, a frightened young woman went into a notorious abortion facility and took the first of two abortion pills that had been recommended to her to end her child’s life.

As Dr. Ruberu wrote, “She later regretted this choice and called the abortion center to find out if anything could be done…They told her to go to the ER…the ER had no help for her…”

While she was waiting in the emergency room, she desperately searched the Internet and came across a woman named Marlene Downing, then the director of the Hope Pregnancy Center in Philly.

Italy’s Constitutional Court Rejects Measure to Legalize Assisted Suicide

Italy’s Constitutional Court Rejects Measure to Legalize Assisted Suicide

by Administrator

The Constitutional Court in Italy has blocked a referendum seeking to make assisted suicide legal because it would remove protections for the weak and the vulnerable.

On 15 February, the Constitutional Court said it “deemed the referendum question inadmissible” because if the referendum were to remove the current criminal law on assisted suicide, “the constitutionally necessary minimum protection of human life, in general, and with particular reference to weak and vulnerable persons, would not be preserved”.

Supporters of assisted suicide submitted a petition to the Italian court requesting a referendum in October 2021, however, it was denied.

Currently, in Italy, both assisted suicide and euthanasia are illegal and if someone helps another to end their life by suicide, they could face up to 15 years in prison.

Pro-lifers are planning to fight back as the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (UMASS) prepares to distribute the abortion pill on campus for the fall 2022 semester.

Students for Life of America (SFLA) told The Fix that it plans to bring better awareness about the dangers of the abortion pill (also referred to as chemical abortions) to campus.”[W]e will not let this infiltration of abortion violence go unanswered,” said Mariah McCarron, New England regional coordinator for SFLA.

“We have a very active student group on campus who will be hosting Kristan Hawkins’ speaking tour, ‘No Woman Stands Alone in The New Post-Roe America: We Don’t Need Abortion!’
