Embryologist Confirms There is a “Live Human Being” at Fertilization

Ronan O’Rahilly is an embryologist. Pro-life author Rick Garrett describes him this way:

“Ronan O’Rahilly is the human embryologist who developed the classic Carnegie stages of human embryological development. He also sits on the international board of Nomina Embryologica (which determines the correct terminology to be used in human embryology textbooks).”

According to O’Rahilly:

“the fusion of the sperm (with 23 chromosomes) and the oocyte (with 23 chromosomes) at fertilization results in a live human being, a single-cell human zygote, with 46 chromosomes – the number of chromosomes characteristic of an individual member of the human species, not a blob of cells that are part of the mother’s body.”

(Campaign Life Coalition) A young pregnant woman in Saskatchewan decided not to abort her baby after seeing a pro-life advocate witnessing to life outside of a provincial hospital where abortions are committed.

Barney Sullivan, 71, told Campaign Life Coalition that he was standing outside of Saskatoon City Hospital, where abortions are regularly committed, when a young woman who looked to be in her twenties approached him, wanting to speak with him.

At the time, Sullivan was standing just outside the hospital entrance with a large pro-life sign which read: “Unborn babies matter.”

“I was just standing there by myself.

Equality. That is the main object of the pro-life movement, which was founded as a human rights movement dedicated to securing equal rights for preborn humans. It was formed in response to 20th-century efforts to repeal the nationwide bans on elective abortion that protected the preborn for generations in the United States.

Pennsylvania Congressman Thaddeus Stevens in his 1867 speech advocating for equal rights for African-Americans said, “every man, no matter what his race or color; every earthly being who has an immortal soul, has an equal right to justice, honesty, and fair play with every other man; and the law should secure him these rights.” To

Joe Biden Supports Abortions Up to Birth: “I Support Roe v. Wade, It’s a Rational Position to Take”

In the aftermath of a Supreme Court hearing where justices appeared open to overturning Roe v. Wade, Joe Biden says he still supports the outdated SCOTUS decision that allowed abortions up to birth.

“First of all, I haven’t — I didn’t see any of the debate today, the presentation today,” Biden told reporters at the White House when asked about the hearing.

“And I support Roe v. Wade, I think it’s a rational position to take, and I continue to support it,” he said.

Biden keeps calling himself a faithful Catholic or a devout Catholic but he just put himself squarely at odds with the Catholic Church, which opposes Roe and the 63 million abortions that have resulted since.

Abortion Activist’s Brutal Column Admits the Pro-Abortion Movement Has Failed

Among many other welcomed results, the willingness of the Supreme Court to hear Mississippi’s Gestational Age Act today has exposed long-simmering divisions in the “pro-choice” movement. Amy Littlefield, “the abortion access correspondent for The Nation,” laid them out in brutal detail in an essay published this morning the New York Times.

Much of “Where the Pro-Choice Movement Went Wrong” is inside baseball. Our focus will be on two of the issues Littlefield raises.

First, she laments that the titans of the pro-abortion movement have placed an undue burden on the judicial system. What the courts –including the Supreme Court—giveth, the courts can taketh away.

Sonia Sotomayor Claims Fetal Pain is Not Proof Unborn Children are Human Beings

Sonia Sotomayor Claims Fetal Pain is Not Proof Unborn Children are Human Beings

Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor dismissed arguments that unborn babies should be protected from abortion when they are capable of feeling pain Wednesday as Mississippi asked to be allowed to ban abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

The high court heard a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade on Wednesday in the case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health. Mississippi is challenging the precedent that forces states to legalize the killing of unborn babies for any reason up to viability.

During oral arguments Wednesday, Mississippi attorney Scott Stewart told the court that science has advanced so much in the five decades since Roe that society now has a better understanding about the humanity and development of the unborn child.

Justice Amy Coney Barrett Destroys Pro-Abortion Argument That Abortion Bans Force Women to be Pregnant

Justice Amy Coney Barrett Destroys Pro-Abortion Argument That Abortion Bans Force Women to be Pregnant

Justice Amy Coney Barrett questioned the notion that women need to abort their unborn babies to succeed Wednesday when the U.S. Supreme Court considered a major abortion case out of Mississippi.

Currently, Roe v. Wade and other Supreme Court rulings force states to legalize the killing of unborn babies for any reason up to viability, but the Mississippi case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, directly challenges that precedent.

During oral arguments Wednesday morning, Barrett asked pro-abortion lawyers about “the burdens of parenting” presented in Roe and Planned Parenthood v. Casey as reasons for the so-called right to abortion.

She brought up safe haven laws, which allow mothers to relinquish their newborns to authorities without fear of repercussions, as an alternative to abortion and the burdens of motherhood.

Justice Brett Kavanaugh: Just Because Roe is Precedent Doesn’t Mean it Can’t be Overturned

The Supreme Court heard oral arguments Wednesday morning in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, a case that directly challenges the Roe v. Wade precedent that blocks states from banning abortions in the first six months of pregnancy.

The Court’s conservative majority “signaled it would uphold Mississippi’s 15-week ban on abortion and may go much further to overturn the nationwide right to abortion that has existed for nearly 50 years,” according to Associated Press.

Supreme Court justices mislead on fetal pain and human development in abortion case

by Administrator

During discussion at the Supreme Court on December 1 regarding the constitutionality of a Mississippi law banning abortion after 15 weeks, Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, considered two of the Court’s liberal justices, espoused inaccurate information about preborn children.

Justice Sotomayor compared the modern scientific understanding of when preborn babies feel pain to “fringe” science.

Sotomayor asked Mississippi Solicitor General Scott Stewart to clarify why he believed that “advancements in medicine” make the overturning of Roe vs. Wade not only reasonable but imperative. Stewart answered, “I think it is an advancement in knowledge and concern about such things as fetal pain, what we know the child is doing and looks like and is fully human very early.”

Senator John Kennedy: There’s No Right to Abortion in the Constitution

Senator John Kennedy: There’s No Right to Abortion in the Constitution

With the Supreme Court holding oral arguments yesterday in a Mississippi abortion ban case tat could result in overturning Roe, there has been a renewed focus on the question of whether there is a right to abortion in the Constitution.

As Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas made it clear yesterday in his questioning, there is no right to abortion in the Constitution.

Asked about this, Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana agrees.

When asked if the Founding Fathers believed in a right to abortion, Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) said, “I don’t think there’s a constitutional right to abortion in the United States Constitution.”

Doctor Slams Sotomayor: “To Compare an Unborn Child to a Brain-Dead Person is Wholly Ignorant”

Doctor Slams Sotomayor: “To Compare an Unborn Child to a Brain-Dead Person is Wholly Ignorant”

Doctors and scientists corrected U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonya Sotomayor this week after she compared unborn babies to brain dead people and claimed they cannot feel pain until at least 24 weeks of pregnancy.

Dr. Grazie Pozo Christie, a radiology specialist and senior fellow with The Catholic Association, said the justice’s statements were “wholly ignorant” of basic scientific knowledge.

“To compare an unborn child to a brain-dead person or a corpse flouts science, which tells us that at 15 weeks gestation, a baby’s organs are fully formed, her heart pumps 26 quarts of blood a day, and her lungs are already practicing drawing breath,” Christie responded in a statement.

Justice Sotomayor is Wrong: Science Confirms Unborn Babies Feel Pain

Justice Sotomayor is Wrong: Science Confirms Unborn Babies Feel Pain

Justice Sonia Sotomayor incorrectly claimed during Wednesday’s Dobbs oral arguments that the existence of fetal pain before 24 weeks is only believed by a “small fringe of doctors,” seeming to ignore modern peer-reviewed studies that have influenced the work of Dr. Stuart Derbyshire, one of the world’s leading neuroscientists, who writes that fetal pain is possible “from as early as 12 weeks.”

Dr. Derbyshire, whose 2010 work is cited in the abortion industry’s Dobbs response brief, was for many years considered a “leading voice against the likelihood of fetal pain.”He was previously on record rejecting the possibility of fetal pain prior to 24 weeks.

Pivotal case leads Supreme Court justices to ask tough questions of abortion advocates

On Wednesday, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the case the centers around Mississippi’s law restricting abortion to the first 15 weeks of pregnancy. While pro-life activists rallied outside, the justices asked multiple questions which signaled the possibility that at least some of them are seriously considering allowing the pro-life law to stand. Doing so would not criminalize abortion, but could upend the 1973 Roe v. Wade/Doe v. Bolton and 1992 Planned Parenthood v. Casey decisions that respectively legalized abortion until birth and prohibited states from restricting abortion prior to the arbitrary age of “viability”.

As the slippery slope in the Netherlands euthanasia experiment is greased, other nations may follow.

The DutchNews.nl reported that the latest Netherlands euthanasia development is the change by the Dutch Medical Association (KNMG) allowing doctors to euthanize patients with advanced dementia who made an advanced request while competent but who cannot consent to their death.

According to the DutchNews.nl:

The change in position follows a ruling by the Supreme Court in April 2020, in which judges said a doctor who ended the life of a patient with severe dementia had not committed a criminal offence.

Amazing Live Nativity Takes Place Outside Supreme Court One Day After It Discusses Reversing Roe

Christians gathered Thursday outside the U.S. Supreme Court building in Washington, D.C. to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ just a day after the justices heard a major challenge to Roe v. Wade.

The live nativity, a re-enactment of Jesus’s birth in humble circumstances, was a project of the Christian organization Faith & Liberty, The Christian Post reports.

Though Faith & Liberty hosts the live nativity annually around Christmas, the event had special significance this year. On Wednesday, the Supreme Court listened to arguments about whether it was wrong to force states to legalize the killing of unborn babies in abortions through Roe v.

63 Million Babies Have Been Killed in Abortions in America. That’s the Population of Italy. It Must End

“Injustice need not be forever. By affirming the Mississippi law, the Supreme Court can make a powerful step towards inclusion and justice and respect for the weakest and most vulnerable. [1]

“In 1973, the Supreme Court abandoned women and babies to what is now the multi-billion-dollar abortion industry and respect for the weakest and most vulnerable.

“Shockingly, since the infamous 1973 decisions legalizing abortion-on-demand, more than 62.5 million unborn children have been killed—a staggering loss of children‘s lives that equates with the entire population of Italy.

“Abrogating both duty and due diligence, the 1973 Court wrote: ‘we need not resolve the difficult question of when human life begins.’

Scientists Continue Finding Unborn Babies Feel Pain Earlier Than Thought

Scientists Continue Finding Unborn Babies Feel Pain Earlier Than Thought

“If you prick us, do we not bleed?” — William Shakespeare, Act III, Scene I, “The Merchant of Venice.”

The answer to the question, the plaintive plea of Shylock for the recognition of his shared humanity, is, of course, “yes.” It’s a universal human characteristic. Even still in the womb, a few weeks old, our hearts are beating rhythmically and blood courses throughout our tiny, still-developing bodies. Prick us then, and we will bleed.

But what if the question is phrased, “If you prick us, do we not feel pain?”

Again, for those of us already born, barring some pathological neural syndrome, the answer is certainly “yes.”
