Abortion ‘will be a stain on this nation for centuries’ like eugenics was, says Fox News host

Abortion ‘will be a stain on this nation for centuries’ like eugenics was, says Fox News host

Eugenics is a pseudoscience which pitted the so-called “fit” against those deemed “unfit” to procreate. Its origins date back to the mid 1800’s, where it was promoted as an accepted science. By the early 1930s, the American Eugenics movement had become so influential that it was reported by some to have influenced Adolf Hitler in his aims to create a “master race.” Under its rubric in the United States, eugenicists shamefully targeted people of color, the disabled, and others with sterilization without their knowledge or consent. The memories of this tragic era still weigh heavily on memories of the victims and their families, including Fox News contributor Dagen McDowell, who recently disclosed on “Outnumbered” that her aunt had been eugenically sterilized “because she was mentally disabled.”

New progressive pro-life group looks to end abortion for good

New progressive pro-life group looks to end abortion for good

by Administrator

A new progressive group is changing expectations of what it means to be pro-life. The Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising, or PAAU, was launched this month by Terrisa Bukovinac, the founder and president of Pro-Life San Francisco and former president of Democrats For Life.

Bukovinac announced the formation of a new progressive anti-abortion group just before the Women’s March last weekend — a distinction from the “pro-life” label that she told the Catholic News Agency is intentional. PAAU, she explained, is “an uprising of grassroots activists” who are “looking to organize blue cities across America” against abortion. “In more left-leaning circles, sometimes the phrase ‘pro-life’ has become a little meaningless,” she said.

Pro-life laws enacted in 2021 hit triple digits, highest since 1973

This year has been a record for pro-life laws, with states enacting 106 abortion restrictions thus far, according to Planned Parenthood’s former “special affiliate” and research arm, the Guttmacher Institute. The new total now surpasses the number of abortion restrictions passed since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973, the pro-abortion group claimed. Live Action News previously reported that by May 2021, over 500 pro-life laws had already introduced in the U.S. this year.

“States have enacted 106 abortion restrictions so far in 2021, a year that has been marked by unprecedented threats to U.S. abortion rights and access,” Guttmacher wrote in their release.

Female scholars to SCOTUS: Abortion deserves no credit for women’s success

An amicus brief has been filed on behalf of over 200 women for the upcoming Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Supreme Court case, arguing that women do not need abortion to be successful.

Filed by law professors Teresa Collett and Helen Alvaré along with legal scholar Erika Bachiochi, the brief represents 240 women scholars and professionals, all of whom “reject the argument that the ‘ability of women to participate equally in the economic and social life of the Nation’ requires the availability of abortion.” On the opposing side, as reported by Live Action News, 500 female athletes claimed women do need abortion in order to be successful.

AMAZING: Over one million people participated nationwide in Mexico’s pro-life marches

Less than a month after Mexico decriminalized abortion, more than 300,000 people gathered in Mexico City to show their support for life at all stages. According to the Catholic News Agency, the total headcount for the March for Women and for Life on October 3 throughout the nation was more than one million participants, including the smaller marches held in various locations.

A highlight was an ultrasound performed by a doctor on a 38-weeks pregnant mother, with the crowd having the opportunity to hear her baby’s heartbeat. Those gathered also heard a testimony from the event’s organizer, Marcial Padilla, and his wife, Mayela Sepúlveda.

Olympic athlete Elinor Barker took home the silver medal in the women’s team pursuit track cycling event at the Tokyo Olympics and she just revealed she was pregnant while she achieved this feat. The pregnancy, said Barker, was a surprise because she has endometriosis, which can make it difficult to become pregnant.

Barker, an Olympic athlete from Great Britain, shared her pregnancy announcement on social media last week, writing on Instagram, “Casper and I are excited to announce that we are expecting our first child! We can’t believe how lucky we are and are so excited to start the next part of our lives together.”

European Parliament Condemns Texas for Banning Abortions, Calls Killing Babies “Essential Health Care”

A majority of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) adopted a resolution in the context of human rights that not only condemns and calls for the overturning of Texas Senate Bill 8, which prohibits abortion after detection of the unborn child’s heartbeat, but calls for the entire US to eliminate all laws against abortion by enactment of the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) and by establishing “federal legal protection for universal access to abortion”.

The non-binding pro-abortion resolution—European Parliament resolution of 7 October 2021 on the state law relating to abortion in Texas, USA (2021/2910(RSP)—was introduced by The Left political group and passed by a vote of 381 in favor, 253 against and 36 abstentions.

Abortion Clinic Director Complains More Poor Babies Aren’t Killed in Abortions

A Louisiana abortion worker recently complained to NPR that the Texas heartbeat law is saving poor children from abortions.

Hope Medical Clinic in Shreveport, Louisiana has been seeing women come from Texas for abortions since the pro-life law went into effect Sept. 1, according to the report.

However, staff at the abortion facility admitted to NPR that the law is preventing some women from getting abortions. In other words, it is saving babies’ lives.

The Texas heartbeat law, which went into effect Sept. 1, prohibits abortions once an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detectable, about six weeks of pregnancy. Pro-life leaders estimate the law has saved at least 3,000 babies from violent abortion deaths since then.

Supreme Court Will Hear a Major Abortion Case That Could Finally Overturn Roe v. Wade

Supreme Court Will Hear a Major Abortion Case That Could Finally Overturn Roe v. Wade

The U.S. Supreme Court began its new term Monday with a highly anticipated abortion case on its schedule, one that could allow states to protect unborn babies from abortion violence.

That case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, involves a 2018 Mississippi law that prohibits abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy when an unborn baby is nearly fully formed. The lone Mississippi abortion facility, Jackson Women’s Health Organization, and the Center for Reproductive Rights are suing to block the law. The hearing is scheduled for Dec. 1.

Pro-life advocates and abortion activists both anticipate that the conservative-majority court will weaken Roe v.

Appeals court temporarily reinstates Texas abortion law

WASHINGTON (CNS) — A U.S. court of appeals temporarily stayed the recent injunction on the Texas abortion law while it reviews the state’s request to reinstate the ban on abortions after six weeks of pregnancy.

The ruling was issued the evening of Oct. 8 in one-page order by a three-judge panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

This newest order was issued just two days after a U.S. District Court judge had temporarily blocked Texas from enforcing the abortion law.

The appeals court accepted the request of Texas state officials to temporarily set aside the ruling by U.S. District Judge Robert Pitman.

Joe Biden Overturns Trump’s Pro-Life Rule Defunding Planned Parenthood of $60 Million

Joe Biden just overturned a pro-life rule President Trump put in place that cut $60 million in funding for the Planned Parenthood abortion business. Biden claims he’s a “devout Catholic” but he’s really just the most pro-abortion president in America’s history.

Today, the Biden administration formally adopted a rule that will force taxpayers to fund the abortion industry through the Title X family planning program.

The rule, issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will end a pro-life regulation that President Donald Trump put in place to ensure Title X grants are not used to subsidize the killing of unborn babies in abortions.

Federal Judge Appointed by Obama Blocks Texas Abortion Ban After It Saves Thousands of Babies

Federal Judge Appointed by Obama Blocks Texas Abortion Ban After It Saves Thousands of Babies

A federal judge appointed by Barack Obama has issued a ruling temporarily blocking the Texas abortion ban that has saved over 3,000 babies from abortion.

U.S. District Judge Robert Pitman sided with the Biden administration’s Justice Department, which sued the state, arguing Texas’ law was unconstitutional because it went agaisnt Roe v. Wade.

Typically, state governments enforce pro-life laws and, when the laws are challenged, judges can block the states from enforcing them in a preliminary injunction. However, the Texas law leaves enforcement up to individual people. So, judges are considering whether they can stop all private citizens from enforcing the law – especially without allowing private citizens the chance to defend themselves in court first.

The Women’s March Ignores the Truth That Women Don’t Need Abortion

The Women’s March Ignores the Truth That Women Don’t Need Abortion

This weekend, another so-called Women’s March is scheduled to take place.

It already is proving to get more attention than the hundreds of thousands who come to Washington for the March for Life—an event that has taken place every year since 1974. The “Women’s March” will be loud, angry, and it will be touted as representing the voices of American women who supposedly are demanding that abortion be kept legal under any circumstance and at any time. It will ignore the baby in the womb.

It will also ignore the sad truth that many of those in attendance will very probably have had abortions themselves or assisted others to get them.

The abortion pill: 21 years of secrecy and death

by Administrator

The abortion pill (mifepristone) was first approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on September 28, 2000, in a regimen with another drug called misoprostol. Shortly after the abortion pill was approved, women began dying.* In years since its approval (between 2000 and 2018), the abortion pill has ended the lives of nearly four million preborn children and has caused thousands of serious adverse effects.

How the abortion pill came to the United States

In 1992, Ron Weddington — a co-counsel for the plaintiff in Roe v. Wade and the ex-husband of Roe attorney Sarah Weddington — wrote an open letter to the Bill Clinton administration recommending that the president “eliminate” certain segments of society via abortions, the RU-486 abortion pill (mifepristone or Mifeprex), and other means.

Norma McCorvey, the Jane Roe of Roe v. Wade, Never Had an Abortion. Here is Her Daughter

Abortion and heartbreak go hand in hand.

For Shelley Lynn Thornton, the issue is especially painful because she was the baby who was supposed to be aborted. The “Baby Roe” of Roe v. Wade.

Thornton recently revealed her connection to the infamous Supreme Court ruling in an interview with The Atlantic. On Monday, she gave her first TV interview to ABC News, sharing about her adopted parents, her birth mother Norma McCorvey (the “Jane Roe” of Roe v. Wade) and her struggles since learning about her past.

Thornton said it took her a long time to accept that her connection to the abortion debate and her biological mother’s choices are not her fault.

Jennifer Aniston Tells Men to Shut Up About Killing Babies in Abortions: “No Uterus, No Opinion”

Actress Jennifer Aniston expressed her support for the killing of unborn babies in abortions over the weekend, posting “No uterus, no opinion” and other pro-abortion content on her Instagram account.

Her Instagram story posts coincided with the Women’s March protests on Saturday. The march adopted a radical pro-abortion theme this year, “Rally for Abortion Justice,” to oppose pro-life laws that are saving thousands of babies’ lives.

Aniston shared several photos of pro-abortion protesters on her Instagram page Sunday, likely from the protest. Best known for her role on the sitcom “Friends,” she also posted a GIF from the show when her character told a male character, “No uterus, no opinion.”

Today: Supreme Court Begins New Session; Pro-life Activists Urge SCOTUS to Update U.S. Abortion Law

“The Dobbs late abortion case is potentially the most consequential abortion case in fifty years. The Court has a landmark opportunity to correct its past overreach and once again allow states to pass common ground pro-life laws that reflect the will of the people,” said SBA List national spokeswoman Mallory Quigley. “Because of the Court, the U.S. is among only a handful of nations worldwide to allow abortion on demand up until the moment of birth. Americans are eager to update our country’s abortion laws – at least after the point by which unborn children feel pain.”

Missouri Will Fight in Federal Court to Defend Law Banning Abortions When Heartbeat Begins

Missouri Will Fight in Federal Court to Defend Law Banning Abortions When Heartbeat Begins

Pro-life Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt has long since had the option of taking either or both of a two-tier approach to protecting his state “Missouri Stands for the Unborn Act.” One was to appeal directly to the Supreme Court, the other was the unusual step of first going to the full 8th Circuit.

However, since Attorney General Schmitt went directly to the Supreme Court and the plaintiffs did not asked for a rehearing in front of the full eleven members, it was surprising that on July 13,  the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted an “en banc” (all judges participating).

10,000 Pro-Life People Rally Against Abortion in Mexico City

10,000 Pro-Life People Rally Against Abortion in Mexico City

A massive rally, organized by the March for Women and Life, “which wound from the Paseo de la Reforma to a rally in front of Mexico City’s iconic Angel of Independence monument,” was held last weekend, a month after the Supreme Court of Justice decriminalized abortion in the state of Coahuila. Estimates were that similar marches were conducted in at least 50 other cities.

The ruling, stemming from a 2017 challenge, not only invalidated legislation criminalizing abortion in Coahuila, but, according to high court President Arturo Zaldivar, it establishes an “obligatory criterion” for all judges.

Response was quick. “Movements against abortion all around Mexico have declared themselves to be against the ruling and announced the march – and similar ones nationwide – on Sunday, calling for a “great national agreement” to protect “women and the lives of all Mexicans,” according to EFE news service.

Mom Sues to Stop Her Teen Daughter From Killing Her Baby in an Abortion Without Her Consent

Mom Sues to Stop Her Teen Daughter From Killing Her Baby in an Abortion Without Her Consent

A Louisiana mother filed a lawsuit to save her unborn grandchild’s life earlier this month after her teenage daughter sought a judge’s permission to have an abortion without her consent.

Louisiana law requires underage girls to obtain a parent’s consent before having an abortion. However, because of a U.S. Supreme Court ruling, the law includes a judicial bypass exception that allows girls to request permission from a judge instead.

The purpose of the exception is supposed to be for cases involving domestic abuse, but pro-life leaders say abortion activists exploit the loophole by finding activist judges to rubber stamp teens’ requests for abortion.

Nurse Wins Lawsuit Against Medical Center That Fired Her Because She Refused to Assist Abortions

A pro-life Illinois nurse who was fired after refusing to refer mothers for abortions won her case in court this week.

WTVO 17 News reports a judge agreed Wednesday that Sandra Mendoza Rojas, of Rockford, should not have been fired from the Winnebago County Health Clinic for living out her pro-life beliefs.

Rojas worked as a pediatric nurse for 18 years before she was fired in 2015, according to the report. She said she refused to comply with a new requirement that nurses be trained to help women obtain abortion drugs and refer women to abortion facilities.

Hundreds of Thousands of Americans Will March for Life Because “True Equality Begins in the Womb”

When pro-life Americans gather Jan. 21, 2022 in Washington, D.C. to mark the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, they will remind society that unborn babies are precious, valuable human beings who deserve equal rights under the law.

On Wednesday, the March for Life revealed its theme for the 49th annual march: “Equality Begins in the Womb.” The march is held every year on the anniversary of the infamous U.S. Supreme Court ruling to call for an end to abortion and restored protections for babies in the womb.

“The pro-life movement recognizes the immense responsibility this nation bears to restore equal rights to its most defenseless citizens in the womb,” March for Life president Jeanne Mancini said.
