Feminists Lose in Illinois as Pro-Abortion Bill for Secret Teen Abortions Dies

Illinois teens and their unborn babies will remain protected under a state law that requires underage girls to notify a parent before having an abortion.

Earlier this year, state lawmakers introduced bills in the Illinois House and Senate to repeal the 1995 state parental notification law.

This week, however, the state legislative session ended, and lawmakers did not act on either bill, the Belleville News-Democrat reports. The pro-abortion legislation never advanced out of committee.

There is a chance the bills could be resurrected. The report did note that lawmakers could consider action during a special session later this summer on emergency legislation.

A case for parental notification: Teen left with baby parts in uterus after botched abortion

A case for parental notification: Teen left with baby parts in uterus after botched abortion

An emergency room doctor tasked with removing the remains of a 16-week-old preborn child from the womb of a 14-year-old girl after a botched abortion is calling for the Illinois Parental Notification Act to remain intact.

In an op-ed for the Chicago Sun-Times, Dr. Robert Lawler, MD, FACOG said he was wrapping up his on-call shift in a suburban Chicago obstetrical emergency room when a call came in telling him he was needed in the ER immediately. A 14-year-old girl was in critical condition after developing sepsis, an often-deadly blood infection. She was suffering with a fever, rapid heart rate, and excruciating abdominal pain.

7 brave mothers who risked their lives to save their preborn babies

7 brave mothers who risked their lives to save their preborn babies

Becoming critically ill while pregnant can be devastating. While high-risk conditions associated with pregnancy often don’t occur until later in the pregnancy — allowing the preborn child to be delivered prematurely so the mother’s life can be saved — conditions unrelated to pregnancy, such as cancer or ALS, can be diagnosed at any time.

Some cancer treatments are safe during pregnancy, but some are not, and these mothers chose to forgo their own life-saving care to allow their babies a chance at life.

Lawmaker wants M in ‘relocation and renovation’ funding for largest Planned Parenthood affiliate in US

Lawmaker wants $2M in ‘relocation and renovation’ funding for largest Planned Parenthood affiliate in US

Planned Parenthood Mar Monte (PPMM), which was at the center of an undercover investigation into Planned Parenthood’s trafficking in aborted body parts, could soon be granted $2 million in federal taxpayer dollars for projects that involve “relocation and renovation” assistance.

The funding comes from the “Community Project Funding” program, which the San Francisco Chronicle says allows lawmakers to file a request for “pots of money for specific causes in their districts….” Each member of Congress may submit up to 10 requests for community funding to the House Committee on Appropriations to be considered for fiscal year 2022 appropriations bills – and two of Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren’s (D-Calif.)

Democrats are Working With Abortion Activists to Try to Silence Pro-Life Americans

Democrats are Working With Abortion Activists to Try to Silence Pro-Life Americans

Democrat prosecutors have been working with abortion activists in New York and California to silence pro-life advocates who work to save unborn babies from abortion.

The Federalist recently highlighted two examples, one being an on-going New York case against pro-life sidewalk counselors that began in 2017. The other, more widely-known to the pro-life movement, is California prosecutors’ attempts to silence David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress after they exposed Planned Parenthood’s aborted baby body parts trade.

“The two cases, although separated by flyover America, unite in their lesson: The truth about abortion must be silenced, and powerful people will try to ensure it is,” Federalist writer Margot Cleveland wrote.

South Carolina | Where’s the Christianity in electric chair, firing squads?

South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster recently signed legislation that would allow the state to execute people by firing squad or the electric chair if chemicals used for lethal injections are not available. The death-row inmate would be able to choose between the other two options. It is sad that the US remains the one western nation still dedicated to this archaic practice. It is also particularly

Missoula, Montana Backs Down After Trying to Stop Pro-Life Woman From Praying at Abortion Clinic

Missoula, Montana Backs Down After Trying to Stop Pro-Life Woman From Praying at Abortion Clinic

A peaceful Missoula, Montana, pro-life advocate has been vindicated following erroneous and unconstitutional charges made by a city law enforcement officer. The charges against Marilyn Hatch were dismissed after Thomas More Society attorneys sent a demand letter to the Senior Deputy City Attorney of Missoula pointing out that the ordinance the charges were based upon is unconstitutional.

“All people have the right to peacefully give their opinions about the dignity of unborn human life outside abortion facilities. The City of Missoula’s  decision to criminally charge Mrs. Hatch for engaging in speech protected by the First Amendment was itself unconstitutional,” declared Thomas More Society Senior Counsel Matt Heffron.

World Medical Association Wants to Force Doctors to Make Referrals for Abortions or Euthanasia

World Medical Association Wants to Force Doctors to Make Referrals for Abortions or Euthanasia

The World Medical Association is revising the International Code of Medical Ethics (ICoME) to limit the scope of conscientious objection.

According to a WMA press release, “Workgroup members and observers representing more than 15 countries have reviewed the document carefully to determine what might be missing from the ICoME, what might be superfluous, what could potentially be organised differently.”

The principal change would be to make referral a duty for a doctor who has a conscientious objection. The current code says:

Physicians have an ethical obligation to minimise disruption to patient care. Conscientious objection must only be considered if the individual patient is not discriminated against or disadvantaged, the patient’s health is not endangered, and undelayed continuity of care is ensured.

Abortions Increase 24% in Iowa as More Babies are Killed With the Abortion Pill

Abortions Increase 24% in Iowa as More Babies are Killed With the Abortion Pill

Abortions rose dramatically in Iowa in 2019 as abortion facilities pushed dangerous abortion drugs on women and their unborn babies.

The Gazette reports a new state health report shows a 24-percent increase in abortions in 2019, a change from the steady decline in abortions over the past decade.

In total, 3,542 abortions killed unborn babies in Iowa that year, according to the data. The increase came despite a decline in the number of abortion facilities in the state, down 33 percent from 2014 to 2017, according to the Gazette.

One clue about the rise in abortions may be the increase in drug-induced abortions.

If Black Lives Matter, Liberals Should Stand Against Killing Black Babies in Abortions

If Black Lives Matter, Liberals Should Stand Against Killing Black Babies in Abortions

Sometimes, no matter how wedded to “choice” someone may be, reality peeks its way through the clouds of slogans, disinformation, and illogic.

Enter Getty Israel, a Black woman, whose op-ed for the [Jackson, Mississippi] Clarion Ledger is headlined, “Abortion Rate disparities: I’m pro-choice but I can’t ignore statistics.”

Israel, founder and executive director of Sisters in Birth Inc., located  in Jackson, straightforwardly establishes her thesis in her initial sentence:

Pro-choice people like me often decry the rates of premature births and infant mortality among Black babies while remaining silent about the abortion rate disparities among Black women.

Later while affirming her “pro-choice” credentials

Black women should maintain their constitutional right to decide when to carry a pregnancy to term.

Mom Refused Abortion When Doctors Said Her Son Had a Heart Defect, Later It Disappeared

Amber Casey, a mother of two, refused to abort her child because of a heart defect identified by doctors. Now her son is healthy and happy after the defect disappeared.

Amber has no regrets about her decision to let her baby live.

In 2019, Amber had a prenatal scan 20 weeks into her pregnancy, revealing that her son, Orton, had congenital heart disease (CHD), which affects one in 100 babies.

Amber was told that the left side of Orton’s heart was smaller than the right side, meaning that he might not live past the age of five. Multiple surgeries would almost certainly be required.

Pro-life group buys parking lot across from abortion clinic amid threat of buffer zone

Pro-life group buys parking lot across from abortion clinic amid threat of buffer zone

A Toledo, Ohio pro-life group is taking a creative approach to the city’s anticipated ban on sidewalk counseling. Catholic News Agency reports that the organization Foundation for Life has raised enough funds to purchase a parking lot across the street from the city’s sole abortion facility, Capital Care of Toledo. The $35,000 purchase will allow sidewalk counselors to sidestep any city ordinances and legally minister to women who park in the lot to visit the facility.

According to 13ABC, women often park in the lot by mistake. In the past, abortion facility escorts would meet these women at their cars, trying to distract them from the sidewalk counselors nearby who hoped to share a pro-life message.

Hillary Clinton Applauds Teen Who Used Graduation Speech to Promote Killing Babies in Abortions

Hillary Clinton Applauds Teen Who Used Graduation Speech to Promote Killing Babies in Abortions

Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton praised a teenager Wednesday for secretly switching her valedictorian speech in order to criticize a new Texas law banning abortions after an unborn baby has a heartbeat.

The former First Lady tweeted her support for Lake Highlands High School valedictorian Paxton Smith, who pulled an unapproved valedictorian speech from her bra at the lectern on graduation day and delivered a speech about Texas’s Heartbeat Act.

“This took guts,” Clinton tweeted. “Thank you for not staying silent, Paxton.”

The new Texas law bans abortions after the unborn baby has a heartbeat. By the end of the fourth week of pregnancy, according to the Cleveland Clinic, the unborn baby’s tiny heart tube will beat about 65 times a minute, and a heartbeat can be detected by about six weeks.

Scientists are Making “Frankenstein” Babies Who are Part Human, Part Monkey

Scientists are Making “Frankenstein” Babies Who are Part Human, Part Monkey

Federal lawmakers are trying to ban the creation of human-animal hybrids, or chimeras, after scientists in California and China were discovered injecting human stem cells into monkey embryos for experiments.

The Washington Times reports U.S. Sen. Mike Braun, R-Indiana, a lead advocate of the legislation, said these potential “Frankenstein” experiments raise serious ethical questions and undermine the sanctity of human life.

“I mean, any of us could speculate on kind of the Frankenstein concept, let’s put it that way, which that was being referred to as in terms of what this leads to,” Braun said. “I do believe that there’s a genuine interest in taking so much that we’ve learned through DNA analysis, understanding the genome of not only human beings but other animals, that there’s going to be that [temptation] contagion to go beyond maybe just the altruistic effort of finding cures for very, very vexing ailments like ALS, like Alzheimer’s …”

In April, an international team of scientists published an article in the journal “Cell” describing how they created embryos with human and monkey cells.
