I Survived an Abortion. An Abortionist Tried to Kill Me, But He Failed

I Survived an Abortion. An Abortionist Tried to Kill Me, But He Failed

Abortion survivors remain a mystery to most. Even if you’ve been involved in the pro-life movement for decades and have met a handful of us, we are still by and large a bit of an enigma outside of our own community.

This is understandable, certainly when it comes to the general public. If the presumption that is drilled in day in and day out is true–that abortion procedures are “safe”–what is there to survive? But this begs the question. Safe for whom?

So who is an “abortion survivor,” really? The term has been cynically misappropriated by some. They attempt to turn the focus from where it belongs—babies who survive the abortionist’s best efforts to kill them–to mean  women who had an abortion and survives doing so.

Mexico Bill Dies That Would Have Legalized Killing Babies in Abortions

Mexico Bill Dies That Would Have Legalized Killing Babies in Abortions

Unborn babies are still protected in most of Mexico after the nation’s leaders decided to postpone debate on a measure to legalize abortions.

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and many other lawmakers with the National Regeneration Movement support a constitutional amendment that would make abortion a “right,” the Catholic News Agency reports.

Earlier this month, however, López Obrador announced that they decided to put their plans on hold, according to the report. The Mexican legislature ends its current session on April 30, and a national election is coming up in June.

“Regarding all these initiatives, I think there won’t be time,” López Obrador said at an April 14 press conference.

Man Charged With Raping Teen, Choking Her Until She Blacked Out Because She Refused Abortion

Authorities in Michigan arrested a man this week for allegedly raping an underage girl repeatedly and then choking her until she blacked out when she resisted his pressure to have an abortion.

MLive reports Anfernique N. Martin, 21, of Saginaw, allegedly physically and sexually assaulted the girl multiple times in 2020.

The girl’s name and age are not included in reports, but authorities said she was a minor and the charges against Martin indicate that she was between the ages of 13 and 15. It also is not clear if she aborted her unborn baby.

Authorities said the girl became pregnant in 2020 after Martin sexually assaulted her multiple times; then, he allegedly began pressuring her repeatedly to get an abortion.

Woman Heading to Abortion Clinic Rejects Abortion After Seeing Picture of Unborn Baby

A 17-year-old mother chose life for her unborn baby this spring thanks to the dedicated outreach of pro-life volunteers on the sidewalks of San Diego.

A sidewalk counselor with Helpers of God’s Precious Infants San Diego shared the story this week at California Catholic Daily and asked pro-lifers to pray for the young woman.

“Please pray for this young woman to continue to have the strength and resolve to give life to her unborn baby,” the ministry asked.

The sidewalk counselor said he noticed the young woman one day as she was pushing her 9-month-old baby in a stroller, heading for the nearby abortion facility.

Planned Parenthood Claims It’s Not Racist, But It’s Fighting in Court to Kill Black Babies in Abortions

Planned Parenthood Claims It’s Not Racist, But It’s Fighting in Court to Kill Black Babies in Abortions

If Planned Parenthood CEO Alex McGill-Johnson wants to make good on her vow to atone for the organization’s racist past by doing better going forward, I have an idea: Stop fighting laws that would prevent abortions based on racism.

Take, for instance, the federal lawsuit, Box vs. Planned Parenthood, concerning two aspects of an Indiana law. The first, which was upheld in 2019 by the U.S. Supreme Court, required abortionists to cremate or bury the bodies of the babies they abort. The second prohibited abortionists to kill children if they know the mother’s reason for seeking the abortion is because of a baby’s race, sex or health status.

5-Year-Old Girl Condemned to Die After Hospital Refuses to Continue Medical Care

5-Year-Old Girl Condemned to Die After Hospital Refuses to Continue Medical Care

Pippa Knight is a brain-injured 5-year-old in the United Kingdom, whose mother has been fighting to keep her alive. Last December, the hospital sought to remove care from Pippa, who has been hospitalized for two years after being diagnosed with acute necrotizing encephalopathy. Her mother, Paula Parfitt, appealed the decision and has been supported in her legal battle by the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC).

The hospital currently treating Pippa is Evelina Children’s Hospital in London. Doctors there claim Pippa is in a “vegetative state,” a term that is imprecise and often misunderstood. Because of her brain injury, the hospital deemed Pippa’s life not worth living and moved to end care against her mother’s wishes.

9,675,153 Babies Have Been Killed in Abortions Since 1967, One Baby Every Three Minutes

9,675,153 Babies Have Been Killed in Abortions Since 1967, One Baby Every Three Minutes

Today marks the 53rd anniversary of the Abortion Act coming into effect in 1968 – 6 months after it received Royal Assent.

Since then, a staggering 9,675,153* unborn babies have lost their lives to abortion across England, Wales and Scotland — more than one death every three minutes; 25 lives ended every hour.

The number of abortions in England & Wales reached an all-time high in 2019 at 209,519, while the number of terminations performed in Scotland was the third-highest on record at 13,583.

Record abortion figures will likely increase

Unfortunately, abortion figures across the UK are likely to increase following the introduction of an extreme abortion regime in Northern Ireland and policy changes allowing ‘DIY’ home abortions across England, Scotland and Wales.

The pregnancy help community is at the forefront of serving human trafficking victims

The pregnancy help community is at the forefront of serving human trafficking victims

(Pregnancy Help News) When considering the services offered by the local pregnancy help organization (PHO) it might not come to mind for some that assisting the victims of human trafficking is among the offerings. But the fact is, in the course of their day-to-day work of serving women facing unplanned pregnancy, pregnancy help centers have been serving human trafficking victims as well.

Like abortion, human trafficking is a violation of the sanctity of human life, and the awareness of this scourge is starting to catch up with its prevalence.

Pregnancy help centers and medical clinics are in a unique position to make a difference through the services they provide and partnerships they have established in their communities.

A Case for State-Mandated Human Trafficking Education in Schools

A Case for State-Mandated Human Trafficking Education in Schools

Defined as “the coercive exploitation of another person for commercial gain,”1 human trafficking is a global crime that impacts the most vulnerable populations in the United States and around the world.2 Children are among those uniquely vulnerable to traffickers—at times not even realizing they are victims.3

In 2019, children comprised over half of the victims in all active federal trafficking cases.4 Even more striking, in cases where a defendant was a sex buyer, over 92% of the victims were children.5 These numbers underscore the gravity of the issue.

Social Media and Romance: Tools for Traffickers

Increasingly, traffickers use social media to contact and earn the trust of children they hope to exploit.

Luxembourg euthanasia update (56% increase in 2020 euthanasia deaths).

Luxembourg euthanasia update (56% increase in 2020 euthanasia deaths).

The Luxembourg update was published by the Australian Care Alliance.

Euthanasia and assisted suicide has been legal in Luxembourg since 2009. The person requesting euthanasia or assisted suicide must have a serious, incurable and irreversible affliction which leads to unbearable physical or mental suffering.

The sixthbiennial report by the National Commission for Control and Evaluation covering 2019-2020 was published in March 2021.

There were 16 cases of euthanasia in 2019 (doubling the 2018 figure of just 8 cases) and 25 cases in 2020 –a further rise of 56.2%. This brings the total number of cases from 2009-2020 to 112.

Most cases involved euthanasia by lethal injection except for two cases (one in 2016, one in 2018 and two in 2020) of assisted suicide by oral ingestion of a barbiturate.

Nevada assisted suicide bill denies equal protection under the law.

When legislators vote on assisted suicide bills they often vote based on the theory of legalizing assisted suicide and not the reality of the bill that they are considering. A prime example is the recent passing of the New Mexico assisted suicide bill that was one of the most extreme and dangerous assisted suicide bills.

The Nevada State Legislature is debating assisted suicide Bill AB 351. AB 351 is similar to the Oregon and Washington State assisted suicide laws.

There are several hidden factors within this and other assisted suicide bills that lead me to wonder what the assisted suicide lobby is trying to cover-up.

Euthanasia bill fails again in Colombia

Euthanasia bill fails again in Colombia

The Colombian legislature has once again failed to pass a law legalising euthanasia. Earlier this week a bill proposed by representative Juan Fernando Reyes Kuri needed to reach 85 votes in favour, but fell two votes short.

Although Colombia is often described as a country where euthanasia is legal, the actual situation is complicated. In 1997 the country’s Constitutional Court ruled that that “the State cannot oppose the decision of an individual who does not wish to continue living and who requests help to die when suffering from a terminal illness that causes unbearable pain, incompatible with his idea of dignity”.

Latvia Saeima

The Latvian public broadcaster LSM.LV reported that, after a long debate, the Latvian Saeima rejected a citizens initiative to legalize euthanasia by a vote of 49 to 38 with 2 abstentions. A citizens initiative collected 10,000 signatures which required the Saeima to debate the issue.

LSM reported that Saeima representatives saw the euthanasia debate as opening the door for better end-of-life care for Latvians. According to the report:

opposition MP Viktors Valainis (Union of Greens and Farmers) said euthanasia would be the easiest way for severely ill people to escape intolerable pain, yet it is “absolutely unacceptable” because it ignores a number of problems in palliative care.

MP’s who oppose euthanasia have filed 3000 amendments to the bill. The Local reported:

MPs hostile to euthanasia have filed 3,000 amendments ahead of the debate which will slow down Thursday’s proceedings to the point of making any vote in the allotted timeframe impossible.

Matt Valliere, the executive director of the patients rights action fund, wrote a scathing review of the New Mexico assisted suicide law that was published in Newsweek today.

Valliere criticises New Mexico for legalizing assisted suicide during the pandemic but he focuses on how these laws are suseptible to abuse, mistakes and coercion. He first focuses on the fact that the New Mexico law permits non-doctors to participate in assisted suicide. He states:

Beyond the fact that every supposed “safeguard” in the New Mexico law and others like it is unenforceable and circumventable, legislators in the state have allowed medical professionals with less training to facilitate patients’ suicide.

Concern related to the high rate of suicide among veterinarians is once again receiving media attention. An article published by KCTV news concerns the veterinary suicide rate in relation to the COVID-19 lockdown. The news article by Blake Keller for KCTV news states:

the Center for Disease Control and Prevention has recognized this issue. A study conducted by them found female veterinarians are up to 3.5 times more likely to take their lives compared to the general public. Males are up to two times more likely.

Keller interviews Dr Erin Howard who teaches at Baker College who states:

“It’s been trending more and more so, especially over the last several years, COVID certainly hasn’t helped things,”

“I’m afraid the numbers are going to be even worse the next time a study comes around when it includes what’s happened in 2020.”

Jen Psaki Defends Selling Aborted Baby Parts for Research: It’s “Investing in Science”

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Tuesday that the White House “respectfully disagrees” with the Catholic Church on the use of aborted fetal tissue for research.

EWTN reporter Owen Jensen asked the White House press secretary Tuesday to address a statement from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops condemning President Joe Biden’s decision to reverse former President Donald Trump’s ban on using aborted fetal tissue for taxpayer-funded research.

“It is unethical to promote and subsidize research that can lead to legitimizing the violence of abortion,” Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann of Kansas City, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities, said in an April 20 statement.

Joe Biden Puts Andrew Cuomo in Charge of COVID Calls, But He Killed 15,000 Nursing Home Residents

Joe Biden Puts Andrew Cuomo in Charge of COVID Calls, But He Killed 15,000 Nursing Home Residents

Several governors complained this week that President Joe Biden has been absent from calls with state leaders about efforts to battle COVID-19, leaving scandal-ridden New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in charge instead.

Cuomo, a pro-abortion Democrat, is accused of issuing a disastrous pandemic mandate that led to the deaths of more than 15,000 nursing home residents and then covering up the numbers. New York has maintained one of the nation’s highest death tolls and death rates since the pandemic began more than a year ago.

Yet, Cuomo is leading weekly national conference calls with governors about state and federal efforts to address the coronavirus, the Washington Examiner reports.

Joe Biden’s Crusade to Promote Abortion is Putting Women’s Lives and Health at Risk

As we anticipated, the Biden Administration is quickly stripping away the pro-life protections that the Trump Administration advanced over the previous four years.

You may recall that last year, during the height of the pandemic, abortion advocates – led by none other than President Biden’s new Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), Xavier Becerra – pressured the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to expand access to RU-486, also known as the abortion pill. They demanded that the FDA relax its drug safety standards that regulate medications with serious safety concerns, and allow the abortion pill to be prescribed via telemedicine and mailed to women.

Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte Signs Three Pro-Life Bills to Save Babies From Abortions

The governor of Montana signed three different pieces of pro-life legislation into law Monday, prohibiting abortions of unborn babies capable of feeling pain, requiring ultrasounds before abortions, and adding requirements for providing abortion drugs to mothers.

The governor’s office announced Monday afternoon that Republican Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte had signed HB 136, HB 140, and HB 171 into law.

“Today, we took action to protect the most vulnerable among us: the unborn,” Gianforte said Monday afternoon. “There were many who served in this building before us who championed the unborn, people who worked hard to advance the cause for life. Unfortunately, their efforts were vetoed.

After His First 100 Days, Joe Biden is Already the Most Pro-Abortion President Ever

After His First 100 Days, Joe Biden is Already the Most Pro-Abortion President Ever

Joe Biden, a supposedly devout Catholic who campaigned on the promise of unifying Americans, already has surpassed pro-abortion President Barack Obama as the most pro-abortion president in U.S. history.

And he did it after just 100 days in office.

A new report from the Family Research Council documents the Biden administration’s aggressive, dangerous and radical pro-abortion actions thus far. This includes stopping FDA safety regulations on abortion drugs and forcing Americans to support international abortion groups with millions of their tax dollars.

“It has become evident that President Biden’s call for unity and healing on day one of his presidency was nothing more than a rhetorical diversion, as he has demanded conformity to policies and priorities that threaten to lurch America to the Left in historic proportions,” said Family Research Council president Tony Perkins.
