Abortion survivors remain a mystery to most. Even if you’ve been involved in the pro-life movement for decades and have met a handful of us, we are still by and large a bit of an enigma outside of our own community.

This is understandable, certainly when it comes to the general public. If the presumption that is drilled in day in and day out is true–that abortion procedures are “safe”–what is there to survive? But this begs the question. Safe for whom?

So who is an “abortion survivor,” really? The term has been cynically misappropriated by some. They attempt to turn the focus from where it belongs—babies who survive the abortionist’s best efforts to kill them–to mean  women who had an abortion and survives doing so.

Unborn babies are still protected in most of Mexico after the nation’s leaders decided to postpone debate on a measure to legalize abortions.

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and many other lawmakers with the National Regeneration Movement support a constitutional amendment that would make abortion a “right,” the Catholic News Agency reports.

Earlier this month, however, López Obrador announced that they decided to put their plans on hold, according to the report. The Mexican legislature ends its current session on April 30, and a national election is coming up in June.

“Regarding all these initiatives, I think there won’t be time,” López Obrador said at an April 14 press conference.

Authorities in Michigan arrested a man this week for allegedly raping an underage girl repeatedly and then choking her until she blacked out when she resisted his pressure to have an abortion.

MLive reports Anfernique N. Martin, 21, of Saginaw, allegedly physically and sexually assaulted the girl multiple times in 2020.

The girl’s name and age are not included in reports, but authorities said she was a minor and the charges against Martin indicate that she was between the ages of 13 and 15. It also is not clear if she aborted her unborn baby.

Authorities said the girl became pregnant in 2020 after Martin sexually assaulted her multiple times; then, he allegedly began pressuring her repeatedly to get an abortion.

A 17-year-old mother chose life for her unborn baby this spring thanks to the dedicated outreach of pro-life volunteers on the sidewalks of San Diego.

A sidewalk counselor with Helpers of God’s Precious Infants San Diego shared the story this week at California Catholic Daily and asked pro-lifers to pray for the young woman.

“Please pray for this young woman to continue to have the strength and resolve to give life to her unborn baby,” the ministry asked.

The sidewalk counselor said he noticed the young woman one day as she was pushing her 9-month-old baby in a stroller, heading for the nearby abortion facility.

If Planned Parenthood CEO Alex McGill-Johnson wants to make good on her vow to atone for the organization’s racist past by doing better going forward, I have an idea: Stop fighting laws that would prevent abortions based on racism.

Take, for instance, the federal lawsuit, Box vs. Planned Parenthood, concerning two aspects of an Indiana law. The first, which was upheld in 2019 by the U.S. Supreme Court, required abortionists to cremate or bury the bodies of the babies they abort. The second prohibited abortionists to kill children if they know the mother’s reason for seeking the abortion is because of a baby’s race, sex or health status.

Today marks the 53rd anniversary of the Abortion Act coming into effect in 1968 – 6 months after it received Royal Assent.

Since then, a staggering 9,675,153* unborn babies have lost their lives to abortion across England, Wales and Scotland — more than one death every three minutes; 25 lives ended every hour.

The number of abortions in England & Wales reached an all-time high in 2019 at 209,519, while the number of terminations performed in Scotland was the third-highest on record at 13,583.

Record abortion figures will likely increase

Unfortunately, abortion figures across the UK are likely to increase following the introduction of an extreme abortion regime in Northern Ireland and policy changes allowing ‘DIY’ home abortions across England, Scotland and Wales.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Tuesday that the White House “respectfully disagrees” with the Catholic Church on the use of aborted fetal tissue for research.

EWTN reporter Owen Jensen asked the White House press secretary Tuesday to address a statement from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops condemning President Joe Biden’s decision to reverse former President Donald Trump’s ban on using aborted fetal tissue for taxpayer-funded research.

“It is unethical to promote and subsidize research that can lead to legitimizing the violence of abortion,” Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann of Kansas City, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities, said in an April 20 statement.

Several governors complained this week that President Joe Biden has been absent from calls with state leaders about efforts to battle COVID-19, leaving scandal-ridden New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in charge instead.

Cuomo, a pro-abortion Democrat, is accused of issuing a disastrous pandemic mandate that led to the deaths of more than 15,000 nursing home residents and then covering up the numbers. New York has maintained one of the nation’s highest death tolls and death rates since the pandemic began more than a year ago.

Yet, Cuomo is leading weekly national conference calls with governors about state and federal efforts to address the coronavirus, the Washington Examiner reports.

As we anticipated, the Biden Administration is quickly stripping away the pro-life protections that the Trump Administration advanced over the previous four years.

You may recall that last year, during the height of the pandemic, abortion advocates – led by none other than President Biden’s new Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), Xavier Becerra – pressured the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to expand access to RU-486, also known as the abortion pill. They demanded that the FDA relax its drug safety standards that regulate medications with serious safety concerns, and allow the abortion pill to be prescribed via telemedicine and mailed to women.

The governor of Montana signed three different pieces of pro-life legislation into law Monday, prohibiting abortions of unborn babies capable of feeling pain, requiring ultrasounds before abortions, and adding requirements for providing abortion drugs to mothers.

The governor’s office announced Monday afternoon that Republican Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte had signed HB 136, HB 140, and HB 171 into law.

“Today, we took action to protect the most vulnerable among us: the unborn,” Gianforte said Monday afternoon. “There were many who served in this building before us who championed the unborn, people who worked hard to advance the cause for life. Unfortunately, their efforts were vetoed.

Joe Biden, a supposedly devout Catholic who campaigned on the promise of unifying Americans, already has surpassed pro-abortion President Barack Obama as the most pro-abortion president in U.S. history.

And he did it after just 100 days in office.

A new report from the Family Research Council documents the Biden administration’s aggressive, dangerous and radical pro-abortion actions thus far. This includes stopping FDA safety regulations on abortion drugs and forcing Americans to support international abortion groups with millions of their tax dollars.

“It has become evident that President Biden’s call for unity and healing on day one of his presidency was nothing more than a rhetorical diversion, as he has demanded conformity to policies and priorities that threaten to lurch America to the Left in historic proportions,” said Family Research Council president Tony Perkins.
