Mom claims she had to abort one twin to save the other… but doctors failed them all

by Administrator

Earlier this year, a mother wrote about her decision to abort one of her twin baby boys. She said the abortion would end the life of one to save the life of the other. But the truth is that both of those babies deserved a chance at life, and that chance was missed.

“On a Friday in May, I walked into the doctor’s office almost 20 weeks pregnant with identical twins,” wrote Shiri B. Sandler for Elle. “I came home that night pregnant with just one baby.”

At some point during the pregnancy, her boys were diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, a rare condition that can occur in identical twins who share a placenta and blood vessels.

Birth rates for babies with Down syndrome drop by over 50% in Europe

Birth rates for babies with Down syndrome drop by over 50% in Europe

by Administrator

A new study from Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) found disturbing data about plummeting birth rates for babies with Down syndrome. Authored by Dr. Brian Skotko of MGH’s Down syndrome program, Gert de Graaf of the Dutch Down Syndrome Foundation, and Frank Buckley of Down Syndrome Education International, the study analyzed three years’ worth of data from every country in Europe. The results are heartbreaking.

The researchers aimed to find out how many babies with Down syndrome were being born in each country, as well as the overall number of people with Down syndrome living in each country. “People with DS were being counted sporadically, inconsistently, or not at all, depending on the country,” Skotko said in a press release.

The development of the child in utero is the ultimate reality show

The development of the child in utero is the ultimate reality show

by Administrator

(NRL News Today) The reality of the hidden life of the unborn child can pop up in the least likely of places.

I happened to be watching a “reality show” known for its contentious female friendships when I was surprised to see one of the leading ladies show up at an obstetrician’s office.

They suspected she was pregnant after having suffered the devastation of a miscarriage. She very much wanted a “rainbow baby” to bring hope and healing into her life.

Sure enough, the ob/gyn office confirmed the pregnancy, in all its glory, in the ultrasound image that appeared on the screen.

Abortion facility sues to overturn Indiana laws requiring proper disposal of fetal remains

by Administrator

Three anonymous women along with the owner of the Indianapolis Women’s Center, an abortion facility in Indiana, are suing to overturn the state’s fetal disposal laws, which were previously upheld by the US Supreme Court. Previously, Planned Parenthood sued the state in 2016, claiming it violated due process, and made abortion facilities incur extra and unnecessary costs.

The Indianapolis Star reported that in addition to being filed on behalf of Indianapolis Women’s Center and three alleged patients, the suit was filed for the facility’s owner and two nurse practitioners there. “These laws also send the unmistakable message that someone who has had an abortion or miscarriage is responsible for the death of a person,” the lawsuit says.

Judge again blocks four Arkansas pro-life laws despite higher court’s decision to allow them

One week after the Eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said it would not reconsider its earlier decision to lift a judge’s injunction against four Arkansas abortion restrictions, that same judge has granted a temporary restraining order to block the pro-life laws once again.

U.S. District Judge Kristine Baker moved on Tuesday to block four pro-life laws that had taken effect earlier that day. Baker had initially blocked the four laws in 2017, however, the Eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals lifted that injunction in August 2020. Last week, as Live Action News reported, the court stated it would not reconsider that decision after being sued by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Center for Reproductive Rights on behalf of Little Rock abortionist Frederick Hopkins.

(Slow to Write) The Agenda Project released a repulsive ad in 2015, and it recently resurfaced online. The ad opens with a lullaby and features a baby girl staring into the camera. Then the words, “She deserves to be loved” flash across a black screen. The video reverts back to the giggling baby for a few seconds, then the words, “she deserves to be wanted” flash over a black screen. The video returns to the happy baby girl for a final time, before the words, “she deserves to be a choice” flash across the black screen.

The ad ends with, “#StandWithPP” or “Stand With Planned Parenthood” across a black screen.

Mom Who Rejected Abortion 10 Times Now Spending Christmas at Home With Her Daughter

A mother who was advised to have an abortion more than ten times is set to celebrate her first at home Christmas with her daughter.

Chloe Conlin, a mother from Norwich, refused to have an abortion despite pressure from doctors. Her daughter, Miyah, now 14 months old, has a serious heart defect called atrial isomerism. She underwent open heart surgery last Christmas Eve shortly after she was born.

“She’s doing really well at the moment”, said Ms Conlin. “They told me she wouldn’t be reaching her milestones. She’s started walking. She took her first steps about three weeks ago and she’s running around now”.

80% of New Zealand Residents Did Not Understand They Were Voting to Euthanize People

80% of New Zealand Residents Did Not Understand They Were Voting to Euthanize People

Polling suggests that 80% of those who voted in October’s assisted suicide referendum in New Zealand misunderstood what the law would actually do.

In October, the ‘End of Life Choice Act’ became law through a binding referendum where 65.2% of voters supported the Act. However, according to group Euthanasia-Free NZ “Polling during the advance voting period showed that 80% of New Zealand adults were misunderstanding what the End of Life Choice Act would legalise”.

“Only 20% of respondents knew that this Act would not make it legal to turn off machines that are keeping people alive”. [emphasis original]

Executive Officer of Euthanasia-Free NZ, Renée Joubert, said: “It seems that most New Zealanders voted for an end-of-life choice that is in fact already legal”.

Christian hip-hop artist Lecrae is facing criticism on social media for his recent comments on abortion. But his story highlights a message that pro-lifers have long repeated: That Americans all too often choose abortion because they feel like it’s their only choice – a necessity.

Earlier this month, Lecrae published a video where he shared his “thoughts about abortion,” including the abortion of his own unborn child. The Grammy award-winning singer, who boasts more than a million fans on social media, repented the abortion years ago. But now he’s exploring why he and his previous girlfriend once considered abortion “our only option” – and how he wants to combat abortion as a whole.

Discrimination: Oregon hospitals accused of denying people with disabilities basic health care

by Administrator

Disability rights advocates claim that people are being denied health care in Oregon. According to NPR, a woman with an intellectual disability was taken from her care home to a hospital, where she was denied a ventilator and was pressured to sign a form allowing the hospital to further deny her care. Doctors allegedly cited her “low quality of life.” When disability rights groups investigated further, they found that, alarmingly, this was not an isolated incident.

NPR reported that the woman contracted COVID-19 in March, and struggled to breathe. Staff quickly wrote do-not-resuscitate (DNR) and do-not-intubate orders for her; further, they instructed the care home to write DNRs for all of their residents in advance, in case they were sent to the hospital as well.

Report: Women seeking general or prenatal health care will have trouble finding it at abortion facilities

by Administrator

The American public has been led to believe that abortion facilities are providing needed medical care to women, but a new report reveals that this is not the case. The report revealed that of the facilities that provided the majority of abortions, just 18% offered any kind of prenatal and/or obstetric care. It also found that unlike facilities which committed more abortions, a higher percentage of non-abortion health care services were offered at facilities where fewer than half of patient visits were for abortions. In addition, the report noted that while the nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, has seen declining health services, facilities, and patients, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) providing comprehensive health care to both men and women have seen growth every year in service sites as well as patient volume.

She Was Born Premature at 27 Weeks, When Some Babies are Still Killed in Abortions

Looking at her chubby cheeks and angelic expression as depicted in the photo I saw, you would have thought she was just another baby about to celebrate her first Christmas.

But this was a baby that had been prayed into the world and covered with prayer since she drew her first breath on planet Earth.

The baby’s mother had had a highly challenging pregnancy and gave birth to her tiny angel at 27 weeks gestation. At a time when some preborn babies in this country are aborted, this little fighter was battling for life, weighing in at just a little more than two pounds.

Pro-abortion activists oppose free speech, and a history of disruptions at pro-life events proves it

On December 12, the Red Rose Rescue group held a conference in St. Charles, Missouri, which was broadcast over Zoom for those who could not attend in person. Unfortunately, pro-abortion activists attempted to disrupt the Zoom broadcast, with one playing loud heavy metal music to drown out the speakers. Several others took over the chat, with one of them repeatedly calling pro-life women “whores.” Another displayed pornography on the screen.

It is ironic that people claim to be pro-woman would disrupt a pro-life conference by displaying video footage of women being exploited and by using sexist, anti-woman, derogatory language to disrupt an event.

A mall Santa spread hope and cheer to children both in and outside the womb this Christmas when he helped two mothers choose life for their unborn babies.

Joel, who plays Santa Claus at his local mall, also is a pro-life advocate with Sidewalk Advocates for Life. The organization shared his inspiring story with LifeNews this week, highlighting how just one person can help change – and save – lives.

When Joel took on the role of Santa, his co-workers quickly began to notice his strong desire to help others, according to the pro-life organization. Two young women who were playing elves especially noticed Joel’s kindness and confided in him that they both were pregnant.

Woman Sues Abortion Facility, Coerced Her Into Aborting Her Baby After She Spit Out Abortion Pills

Jessica Duran wavered back and forth about aborting her unborn baby as she sat inside a New Mexico abortion facility in 2012.

Though she eventually told the abortion workers to go through with the abortion, Duran said she still felt unsure; she even spit out the abortion pills that they gave her. But instead of encouraging her to take a few days to reconsider, Duran said the abortion staff coerced her into aborting her unborn child.

On Tuesday, the pro-life group Abortion on Trial shared Duran’s story and the medical records from her abortion at Southwestern Women’s Options in Albuquerque. Duran is suing the abortion facility in the case Duran vs.

Donovan and Plaster: At 10 Years Old, the Affordable Care Act Is Aging Badly

By almost any measure, the law has fallen short of its objectives. It included features that proved unpopular or unsustainable, led to a decade-long court battle with—of all groups—an order of Catholic nuns devoted to the poor, and it subsidized elective abortion without subscribers’ knowledge in violation of what the law plainly requires.

Planned Parenthood wants non-doctors to commit abortions in Wisconsin

Planned Parenthood wants non-doctors to commit abortions in Wisconsin

by Administrator

Planned Parenthood is hoping to increase the number of abortions committed in the state of Wisconsin by suing to overturn several pro-life laws. Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR) reported that the abortion corporation believes the state’s common-sense abortion restrictions unfairly keep women from obtaining abortions.

The laws under attack require that only doctors commit abortions, that a patient sees a doctor twice before undergoing an abortion procedure, and that a patient receives her prescription for abortion pills directly from a doctor. Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin does not have any full-time physicians, and instead relies on abortionists working there part-time to commit abortions.

Earlier this week, Dr. Stacy Trasancos, Ph.D. wrote a piece for the National Catholic Register citing three examples of recent or ongoing federally-funded research studies utilizing tissue from aborted babies. In June, the Department of Health and Human Services announced a halt on federal funding for research projects utilizing aborted fetal tissue, specifically at first at the University of California San-Francisco and, moving forward, at any location. The HHS statement read (emphasis added):

The audit and review helped inform the policy process that led to the administration’s decision to let the contract with UCSF expire and to discontinue intramural research – research conducted within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) – involving the use of human fetal tissue from elective abortion.

Last week I reported that Spain’s lower house passed a euthanasia bill by a vote of 198 to 138 (2 abstained). The bill will now be debated by the Spanish Senate.

In February, the Portugal Parliament voted on five proposals to legalize euthanasia. All of the proposals passed, even though two years ago, similar proposals were defeated.
