Catholic Nuns Wearing MAGA Masks Steal the Show at President Trump’s Rally

by Administrator

Catholic nuns wearing “Make America Great Again” masks at President Donald Trump’s rally excited the attention of Twitter users Saturday evening.

At least three different nuns can be seen standing behind the president as he spoke Saturday night in Circleville, Ohio. The nuns, dressed in white, black and purple habits and wearing crosses around their necks, also wore black masks with the letters “MAGA” on them, were in the front row of the Trump rally.

DAY 35: Raw video after meeting saved baby

We are not entitled to results.

God calls us to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves, and results are up to Him, not us. When we focus on being faithful and not successful, God will show us the fruit of our labor.

JC in Yuba City, California waited an entire year before she learned that a mom chose life thanks to her presence at the fall 2019 40 Days for Life vigil.

Find out how JC learned of the baby she saved last year in this new, raw video:

Fwd: DAY 34: Call the doctor! I’m keeping my baby!

We now know of 388 babies spared from abortion since September 23–with news from local campaigns continuing to flow in.

After nearly a decade of 40 Days for Life campaigns, College Station, Texas has been abortion-free since 2013.

That hasn’t stopped pro-lifers from continuing to host vigils, praying for women in the community tempted to leave town for an abortion.

Even without an abortion facility, the vigil is still saving lives!

As a taxi driver drove a college-aged woman and her parents past the vigil site, the young woman asked, “What’s going on? Is this a protest?”

Doctors Pressured Mom 15 Times to Abort Because Her Baby Has Down Syndrome, She Refused

When Emma Mellor learned that her unborn daughter, Jaimie, might have Down syndrome, she refused to consider an abortion.

But her doctors did not take “no” for an answer. They kept asking and asking.

And asking.

In an interview with the BBC, the British mother said she was pressured to abort Jaimie 15 times – including right up to birth — just because she had a disability.

“I was told that until my baby had started traveling down the birth canal, I could still terminate,” she told the news outlet.

Now, Mellor and other families are urging society to protect children, born and unborn, who have Down syndrome and provide better information and support to their families.

The positive pregnancy test couldn’t have come at a worse time.

The mother worried she was too old to bring a child into the world. Finances were tight. And to make matters worse, she feared that prescription medications she had been taking might have already harmed her baby.

Abortion seemed like the solution for this crisis pregnancy.

You The anxious mom and her husband said nothing when they visited their chiropractor, who was wearing a “Pray to End Abortion” button…

…but at a follow-up appointment two weeks later, the couple told the chiropractor that his 40 Days for Life button persuaded them to choose life!… Read More “DAY 33: Saved by a button!”

DAY 30: Risking death for Christ

“What are they going to do?” Ruth asked. “Kill me?”

The question wasn’t rhetorical. Ruth grew up in Saudi Arabia, risking her life to practice her Christian faith. Social ostracization and heckling weren’t going to keep her from standing up for unborn children.

On this week’s episode of The 40 Days for Life Podcast, we talk with Ruth about: The fortitude required to live out the Christian faith amidst the threat of violent persecution. How she experienced the culture shock of returning to the West where Christians can live out their faith…but choose not to

President Trump Signs Statement Declaring There is “No Right to Abortion”

by Administrator

Pro-life leaders celebrated a historic moment Thursday when President Donald Trump’s administration declared to the United Nations that aborting unborn babies is not a human right.

The Geneva Consensus declaration, signed by the United States and 31 other countries such as Brazil, Egypt, Hungary, Indonesia, and Uganda, criticizes the UN for supporting the killing of unborn babies in abortions across the world, The Hill reports.

“We will unequivocally declare that there is no international right to abortion. We will proudly put women’s health first at every stage of life,” Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar said Thursday during the signing ceremony.

Mom of Lillian, who has spina bifida, says she ‘was offered an abortion at every visit’

During her 20-week ultrasound, Samantha Sommerville learned that her preborn baby girl had spina bifida, and doctors offered little optimism for the baby’s future. Until 24 weeks, Sommerville said she was told to abort at every single appointment. But she stood firm in her decision to let her daughter live.

Doctors said the baby had myelomeningocele, the most severe form of spina bifida, and that she would be paralyzed from the waist down. They also believed she might have developmental delays due to hydrocephalus. At 23 weeks, Sommerville underwent testing to determine if her daughter had any other medical concerns that would prevent her from undergoing prenatal surgery to close her back.

Study Shows Mothers of Babies With Down Syndrome Face Tremendous Pressure to Kill Them in Abortions

Study Shows Mothers of Babies With Down Syndrome Face Tremendous Pressure to Kill Them in Abortions

Discrimination against unborn babies with disabilities is a huge problem in our supposedly modern, progressive culture.

Countless times, LifeNews.com and other pro-life sources have encountered stories of mothers being pressured to abort unborn babies after a diagnosis of Down syndrome, spina bifida, microcephaly or even cleft lip.

A new study highlighted in Scientific American found more evidence of this discrimination while conducting research about medical diagnosis trauma.

Authors Cindi May, a professor of psychology at the College of Charleston, and Jaclyn Hennessey Ford, a research assistant professor in the department of psychology and neuroscience at Boston College, surveyed more than 300 mothers of children diagnosed with Down syndrome.

Gore-Tex founder leaves legacy of helping to heal the hearts of infants with Down Syndrome

Robert Gore, the founder of Gore-Tex, died at age 85 last month, and pro-lifers have good reason to take note of his incredible professional accomplishments. As reported by Aleteia, while still a young man, Gore invented Gore-Tex, the lightweight, breathable, waterproof material most commonly known for its use in all-weather outerwear, footwear, gloves, accessories and more. But the product’s many uses — “from guitar strings and vacuum bags to space suits” — didn’t stop there.

Gore-Tex eventually branched into the medical field and the material is now used in bandages for burn victims, as well as in patches for heart surgeries.

Dangerous Planned Parenthood facility in Manhattan injures 36th known patient

Another woman has been injured at Planned Parenthood’s Manhattan Health Center, formerly known as the Margaret Sanger Health Center, and was taken away in an ambulance on October 13, 2020.

According to Operation Rescue, pro-lifers praying outside the abortion business watched as the ambulance arrived. Emergency medical personnel went inside the facility for approximately 15 minutes, and then left with the woman in the ambulance. They were followed behind by a man who had accompanied her to the facility.

This is believed to be the 36th woman injured at this particular Planned Parenthood facility, and the third emergency so far this year, with the COVID-19 pandemic believed to have greatly reduced the number of emergencies for 2020.

Who do I Vote For?

by Administrator

This time of year, I get this question quite a lot. I spend many hours trying to find ways to guide you, our ministry partners, towards those candidates who support pro-life and pro-family values. How can you find those candidates? Here are three quick ways.

  1. Look at who Family Policy Alliance of North Dakota endorsed. We put each candidate through a rigorous process before endorsing them. While there are never any guarantees, we feel confident that these men and women will uphold your values in the state legislature, particularly if they have a voting record that demonstrates their pro-family stances. The state legislative candidates we have endorsed for this election include:
  • Diane Larson, District 30, Senate
  • Janne Myrdal, District 10, Senate
  • Cole Christensen, District 24, House of Representatives
  • Mike Wobbema, District 24, Senate
  • Ben Koppelman, District 16, House of Representatives
  • Jim Kasper, District 46, House of Representatives
  • David Clemens, District 16, Senate
  • Kathy Skroch, District 26, House of Representatives

Note that if a particular candidate does not show up on this list, they may still be a strong advocate for your biblical beliefs, but simply did not request to be endorsed.

Identical Twins are Doing Great After Parents Reject Killing One of Them in Abortion

Identical Twins are Doing Great After Parents Reject Killing One of Them in Abortion

by Administrator

Premature twins, Finn and Zack Bishop, are now flourishing at home after being born at 28 weeks, and just one day after doctors advised their parents to have an abortion.

At 24 weeks, mother Caroline Bishop underwent pioneering surgery to correct a condition which was causing an uneven blood flow between the babies, meaning Zack received more nutrients than Finn.

During the otherwise successful surgery, Zack suffered with a bleed in the brain.

He was later diagnosed with periventricular leukomalacia, a type of brain injury common in babies who have had a bleed in the brain. The severity of the condition can cause minimal issues in some children and disability in others.

Colorado Ballot Measure 115 Would Stop Killing Babies in Abortions Up to Birth

by Administrator

Pro-life Democrat leaders are urging Coloradans to vote “yes” on Proposition 115 on Nov. 3 to save thousands of babies from late-term abortions.

Speaking with the Catholic News Agency, Dr. Tom Perille, president of the Democrats for Life of Colorado, said many Democrats and even some pro-choice voters support ending late-term abortions in their state.

“Prop. 115 should pass because it appeals to the moral sensibilities of Coloradans and reflects a popular consensus when abortion restrictions are appropriate,” Perille, a retired physician, told the news outlet. “If a baby born prematurely at 22 weeks enjoys all the rights and privileges of other Colorado citizens and is protected by state/federal law, a fetus in utero at that exact same gestational age should not be able to be legally and cruelly killed.”

Abortion Activists Destroy Cross Display That Memorializes Babies Killed in Abortions

by Administrator

Vandals destroyed a pro-life cross display this week at an Arkansas church, the latest in a growing string of vandalism and other violence against pro-lifers.

According to the Magnolia Reporter, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Magnolia set up 150 white crosses on its lawn earlier this month to raise awareness about the victims of abortion. The crosses represent the number of unborn babies who are aborted every hour in the U.S.

On Monday night or early Tuesday morning, however, someone vandalized the display, knocking over many of the crosses and a banner, the report states.

Volunteers with the Knights of Columbus fixed the display Tuesday afternoon, according to the report.

Woman with Down syndrome: UK law says people like me are ‘better off dead’

A young woman with Down syndrome is campaigning to change discriminatory abortion laws in the United Kingdom, and has just gotten the chance to move ahead with what is being called a “landmark challenge” against the law.

In the United Kingdom, abortion is illegal after 24 weeks of pregnancy — unless the child has any disability, even one as minor as a cleft lip. People with disabilities have spoken out against this exception, which they believe is discriminatory against people like them, and which encourages negative attitudes and stereotypes towards people with disabilities. This has led to a 90% abortion rate for babies diagnosed prenatally with Down syndrome.

Heartbreaking: Parents balk as sibling asks for funeral for aborted sibling with Down syndrome

A series of disturbing posts on Reddit detail a mother’s decision to have a eugenic abortion, and the effect it had on her preteen daughter. Writing on the “Parenting” and “Abortion” subreddits, the woman laid out her plan to have a late-term abortion after discovering her child had Down syndrome.

In her first post, the woman explained she had four children, and was pregnant with her fifth. Because of “complications,” she decided to have an abortion. The post was deleted, but was able to be accessed through Removeddit.

She then followed up, explaining that the “complications” she mentioned actually constituted a diagnosis of Down syndrome.

She went into labor during her abortion. After hearing his cry, she begged, ‘Save my baby!’

by Administrator

(Love Unleashes Life) — When someone cries, how do compassionate people respond? The cries of another typically elicit a reaction from the hearer to comfort and console those whose tears express what words cannot.

I once met a labor and delivery nurse who told me about a particularly traumatic abortion-related story.* A patient presented at the hospital the nurse worked at. The patient was in labor at 25 weeks pregnancy (pregnancy typically goes to 40 weeks). Earlier that day, she had gone to a late-term abortion clinic where she had Step 1 of a multi-step procedure to induce the death of her pre-born child.

Pro-Life and Pro-Choice: What Does It Mean?

by Administrator

Pro-life vs pro-choice. You’ve probably heard the two terms used liberally throughout your lifetime. One side seems occupied with women’s rights, while the other is associated with saving babies. The truth is that merely associating one particular subject with each term is inaccurate. In reality, both pro-life and pro-choice motives and objectives are quite complex and diverse. Sadly, both terms are often overly simplified, leaving the one party believing harsh misconceptions about the other.

In this article, we seek to outline and clarify the pro-life and pro-choice stances. We hope to give clear and accurate definitions and examples, equipping you with enough knowledge to make a confident decision when faced with these subjects socially or politically.
